MARCH FAVORITES

Sunday, 31 March 2013

We're almost in April, how crazy is this? this year is passing too fast! So another month just passed and this means talk about favorites products of the month.
Here my march favorites:

  • Benefit Eye Bright Pencil. I've been using this non stop for the hole month and I've got this product like more than one year ago, but I just rediscovered it! This pale pink-toned pencil is perfect for the brow bone and the inner corner of your eyes, it brightens up amazingly looking very natural. I used to apply it on the waterline but it just does not work well, doesn't last on the waterline. Some people also uses this under the eyes before the concealer but personally I haven't used like that yet but I will.
  • Essie Chinchilly. Perfect color that it goes with everything! it's a light grey with a hit of mauve that looks really beautiful on the nails.
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye pencil in Underground. Another product I've been using almost every day, just applied this on my eyes and looked perfect for everyday looks. I just fell in love with the color of this eye pencil, it's a taupe color with a bit of silver, it's so beautiful! Also is highly pigmented and long lasting.
  • Inglot Eyeshadows n° 397 and n°452. The first one is a frosty pink-beige color, very similar to Sin from Urban Decay which I adore, they are my go-to eye shadows! The second one is a burgundy color, very similar to Mac Cranberry. Inglot's eye shadows are really pigmented and very easy to work with.
  • Mac Blush in Well Dressed. I've only used this blush this month! It just so beautiful, goes with everything. It leaves a really nice pink flush on the cheeks with a bit of shimmer. Very natural effect.
  • Burberry Body Eau de Parfum. Love love love this perfum! It smells warm, sensual, luxurious, classy scent!

Happy Easter everyone! :)
Lots of love

Thursday, 21 March 2013

It's spring time everyone!! yaaay it's time for a spring clean, flowers start to bloom...and it's time to add more color in our make up routine. So here's a list of lipsticks and nail polishes I will use specially during the spring season.
Let's get started!

Say hello to corals and pinks lipsticks!

  • Topshop Sartorial - bright neon coral
  • Maybelline Color Sensational in 420 Coral Pop - subtle coral; all time favorite! love this lipstick so much, very wearable and very flattering; the color is similar to Mac Vegas Bolt, might be a possible dupe.
  • Mac Girl about town - bright blue fuchsia. Another all time favorite! it just the perfect fuchsia.
  • Mac Chatterbox - an opaque warm pink

Swatches, from the top: Mac Girl about town, Mac Chatterbox, Maybelline Coral Pop and Topshop Sartorial.

These are 4 of my favorites lipsticks for spring but i have to say that some of them I use during all the year like Mac Girl about town, such a classic color!

Add colors like pastels, corals or bright fuchsias to your nails this spring!
Some of my favorites for this season are:

  • Essie Exotic Liras - raspberry, bright pink fuchsia
  • Kiko 338 - ligh blue, lavender
  • Kiko 281 - coral pink
  • Loreal 602 Perle de Jade - mint color
  • Barry M 308 Berry  - lilac color

Which are your favorites products for this season?

Happy Spring everyone!

CHANEL LE CRAYON KHOL IN CLAIR

Monday, 18 March 2013

A nude eye pencil should be an essential make up product for every girl. Perfect for brightening up your eyes naturally and make them look bigger. I've been testing some nude eyeliners lately and kind of obsessed to find the perfect one, so I needed to get this one from Chanel and see how this work.

Pros:
  • Nice packaging
  • It comes with a little sharpener
  • Perfect color: peachy nude,  looks very natural, much better than wear a white eyeliner
  • It gives instant brightness
  • Long lasting
Cons:
  • The pencil is not very creamy which is quite annoying,  for your waterline you need something a bit softer because it is a very sensitive area.
  • Expensive

Overall, this pencil has a really nice color  for the waterline and would be perfect if it had more creamy texture. It is a good product but it really does not convince me so I wouldn't repurchase it.
I would like to try the Nars Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte or the Rimmel Scadal Eyes in nude, they look like good alternatives to this one.

Have you tried this eyepencil?

Lots of love

BEST BUDGET PRODUCT (III): KIKO VOLUME TOP COAT MASCARA

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

Another great make up product on a budget, this time is about a product that at the beginning doesn't sound like an essential one but it's great to have it in your collection, and so inexpensive that it's worth a try.
Kiko Cosmetics came out with these top coat mascaras range quite a while ago, there're four different top coat mascaras: volume, curling, lengthening, and waterproof.Check their website here for more information.

The volume top coat is the only one I've tried out so far, cause get more volume is the main thing I look for when I choose a mascara; and this top coat have surprised me since the first bottle, this is the third one!
I would love to wear false lashes more often but I find them a little bit uncomfortable to wear sometimes so with this top coat I've found a easy way to wear dramatic lashes everyday. Apply this top coat right after your usual mascara and you will get more volume and more dramatic lashes in a very easy step!

The good:
  • add up to 75% more volume
  • false lashes effect
  • doesn't clump
  • easy to remove
  • very affordable
The bad:
  • the product dries out quite fast

The normal price of this is 7.90 euros/£ but right now they have all the mascaras in offer, 3,90 euros/£, a good chance to try this out!

Lots of love,
xx

DIOR ROSY GLOW AWAKENING BLUSH AND DIOR ADDICT LIP GLOW

Saturday, 9 March 2013

Hi everyone!
Today is the day to talk about these two unique products from Dior: Diorskin Rosy Glow Healthy Awakening Blush and Dior Addict Lip Glow,

DiorSkin Rosy Glow Healthy Awakening Blush

This cool-toned bright pink blush reacts with the moisture in each skin type adding a customized subtle pink color on your cheeks. The color looks very bright in the pan but the color you get on your cheeks is very natural.

The good:

  • The packaging is gorgeous, luxurious, very Dior
  • Buildable color
  • Very flattering color, healthy glow
  • Looks great on all skin tones
  • Smooth texture, ultra fine powder
  • Rose fragance
  • Universal color, goes perfect for every makeup look
  • Unique formula

The bad:

  • Expensive
  • It may not last a lot on your skin which is very disappointing
  • The color I've got on my cheeks was kind of bright pink however I thought it'd have been kind of pale pink color :)
I'm a bit disappointed with this blush, specially because it doesn't last for long on my skin; I wouldn't repurchase this.

Dior Addict Lip Glow

This product was part of my February favorites because it is simply amazing! It has the same kind of formula as the blush, this reacts with your skin's chemistry getting a nice pink color on your lips.

The good:

  • Very moisturizing
  • It gives the most perfect pink glow, enhance your lip color
  • You get a unique shade, it looks different on everyone
  • Long lasting
  • SPF 10
  • Gorgeous packaging
  • Suitable for very dry and chapped lips

The bad:
  • Expensive (but worth the price!)

This is by far my favorite Dior product, it had become an essential in my makeup bag, I use it every single day and I will repurchase it  for sure. I highly recommend it! Please Dior don't ever discontinue this!! :)

Lots of love,
xx

TOP 5+1

Wednesday, 6 March 2013

Hi everyone! it's time to talk about some favorites and like I couldn't choose just five items I had to add a plus 1... so here's my top 5 + 1 products  I've been loving this month, let's get started!

1. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. My skin is in pretty good condition at the moment thanks to this serum. I have been using this for 2 months or so and I really like it. I have combination skin that can be quite sensitive, I break out easily but this serum didn't caused any problems; it's really light, absorbs quickly  and keeps your skin hydrated. I also find it's doing something for my acne scars, making them less visible; it brightens up your skin.
I've heard Olivia Palermo uses this serum!! :)

2. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil. This has been absolutely a favourite since I bought it months ago....this is just perfect! Smells soooo good and it last on your skin, no greasy, no heavy sensation. It absorbs quickly and keeps the skin moisturised. This is a must have girls!

3. Moroccanoil Light Oil Treatment for Fine and Light-Coloured Hair. Another favourite oil. I got this six months ago and it's like I've rediscovered it again. Adding the right amount to your hair it gives very nice results, my ends look more healthy. Also it smells divine!

4. Dior Addict Lip Glow. I'm amazed with this product! Yes, it is quite pricey but worth in my opinion. It keeps your lips moisturised for long and add the most perfect pink colour. This product deserve a bigger review that is coming soon. :)

5. Kiko Precision Eyebrow pencil. Perfect eyebrow pencil and so cheap, if you have the chance to try it, do it, it is actually really good!  Bravo Kiko Cosmetics!

6. Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara for green eyes. Like I said previously in another post, I actually like this mascara, enhance the green part of you eyes and make them pop! It doesn't give a lot of volume but make your lashes long and doesn't clump at all!

Which are your currently top 5 products?
