It can be a bit tricky to find the perfect nude shade that matches your complexion.. The right shade should flatter your skin tone without washing you out, avoiding the tired effect. To get the right colour you should consider your skin colour, hair colour and your lip colour.
The key is to find a colour that won't make you look sick and completely washed out. It should look natural and work with your skin tone. I chose these six lip products because all of them has a clearly colour undertone and they wont' give you the "concealer effect" that would erase your lip completely.
Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl. It's a peachy nude with a very creamy consistency. This will look good on every skin colour but is specially recommended for red, rosy lips that have a lot of pigment on them.
Mac Frost Lipstick in Angel. This is a pale pink colour with a frosty finish, even it has a little bit of shimmer. The formula is not very moisturising and doesn't last for long on the lips. I find this colour a little bit tricky and difficult to wear, specially if you complexion is really fair.. Doesn't work for me in my opinion.
Clinique Chubby Stick in Whole Lotta Honey. This is more a balm with a brown-pink colour, but it is still quite pigmented for a balm. It makes your lips look healthy and like you have nothing on them. I find this perfect for everyday and natural looks.
Kiko Cosmetics Smart Lipstick #11. This could be the perfect nude colour in my opinion. A good balance between pink and brown witch make it ideal for all skin tones and will give you what I like to call the Brigitte Bardot effect. The negative side of this lipstick is the formula, witch is quite drying. It is a shame because the colour is beautiful and the products is so inexpensive.
The swatches on my arm where you can see a more intense version of the colours.
