Top five of the month: October 2014

Thursday, 30 October 2014

I've been obsessed with soft and dusty pinks lately and Chai Tea!

Nars Douceur. The blush I've been wearing every single day of this month and my go-to blush for autumn. This rose brown blush is the perfect neutral cheek color that it goes with every make up look. It's really flattering and it can be also used as a contour on pale skin. (Check my top five blushes for autumn)

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil Eyeshadow 611 Yogurt is a nice shimmery champagne/peachy pink color. The texture is great, very creamy and so easy and comfortable to apply. It looks great all over the lid and in the inner corners of the eye to brighten.

Essie 'Eternal Optimist'  is becoming one of my favorites nail polishes ever.  It's such a lovely shade; it is a beautiful dusty pink, great for a everyday manicure. Also the name of this is just perfect!

This Works Deep Sleep Stress Less Roller Ball. This has helped me with sleepless nights and I think I can't live without it now. The smell of this is so calming and comforting that it really helps to relax and sleep better. It is also so easy to use with the roller ball applicator, and perfect to carry with you if you need it. Highly recommend this to anyone who finds it hard to switch off at night.

Kiko Kiss Balms. These lip balms are slightly tinted with a fruity scent and SPF15. I got the number 04 Cherry which is a baby pink color; and the Pearly Kiss Balm 106 Pineapple, a soft pink nude. Both are very moisturizing and they feel nice and hydrating on the lips.

5 Blushes for Autumn

Tuesday, 21 October 2014

Neutral colors, dusty pinks, plums, burgundy,...I adore this time of the year and all the autumnal shades. Here there is a list with some of my favourites blushes for this season.

The Neutrals
Nars Douceur is a dusty rose brown colour that looks so natural and beautiful on the skin. This blush colour compliments any lipstick and it's perfect for those days you want a neutral colour on your cheeks. This is also great for contouring, it gives you beautiful instant cheekbones.

Inglot Freedom System Blush #55 is another dusty pink-brown color, very similar to Nars Douceur but the Inglot blush is more rosy. The quality of Inglot Blushes are fantastic, they're really pigmented and the texture is soft, velvety and blendable.

The Shocking
MAC Fever is a matte red wine colour. This is really pigmented and looks super intimidating in the pan, but if applied lightly it is just gorgeous. It gives this beautiful 'just got out from snow' look.

The Shimmery
MAC Warm Soul is a peachy brown shade with some mauve in it and golden sheen. It enhances the cheekbones, gives warmth and a lovely subtle glow to the complexion. This is one of those blushes that looks beautiful on most skin tones.

Elf Studio Blush Berry Merry is a mauve-plum coloured blush with lots of golden shimmer. It looks natural on the cheeks and gives a subtle glow. I find the texture slightly chalky. This is supposed to be a dupe of Nars Sin.
