Top Five of the Month

Friday, 31 July 2015
This month I've been loving...

Max Factor Creme Puff blush in Lovely Pink. These blushes are great, they're super pigmented and the colours are gorgeous. I chose the shade "Lovely Pink", a peachy pink colour that gives a fresh faced look and stays on for ages. I really need to get more shades!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation. Everything about this foundation is amazing! Lightweight, doesn't cake, doesn't accentuate dry patches and long lasting. I love the finish, it's not super matte but leaves a healthy glow to the skin. Definitely a must try!

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue.  It's very light coverage which is nice for summer and it contains SPF30. It doesn't feel like you have a base product on. It feels fresh, breathable and hydrating on the skin. The finish is luminous and dewy but natural.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector. The consistency of this feels amazing, creamy, silky and light. I got this in the shade Coral, a sheer peachy pink colour, effortless colour that goes with everything and gives a beautiful glow to the lips.

Maybelline Master shape brow pencil. I seriously adore this brow pencil! I love the waxy texture, makes the application super easy and the result is super natural.

Flower Crown Headbands | Ebay
Floral crowns seem to be a popular thing nowadays. There's something about them. Not only they are beautiful, romantic and fun but they make us feel like princesses. There's a lot of tutorials on how to make your own or you find them on Ebay.

Olivia Palermo Nail Collection | Ciate
I'm so excited with this collaboration! OP is one of my style icons and her nail collection for Ciate looks great. All the shades are beautiful and the packaging is seriously gorgeous.
They're quite pricey though.

Iced Coffee | Recipe here
Summer means iced coffee. My latest addiction: Nutella iced coffee! Here you can find the recipe of the one shown above.

Thermal Water | Avene|La Roche Posay|Vichy
A Summer beauty essential. It's great to refresh the skin during those hot summer days. But I use this for everything, after cleansing, after the gym, during travel or to set makeup.

Love Flush Blushes | Too Faced
These blushes come in the cutest heart shaped packaging ever! All the shadea gorgeous. I want them all!

Favourite Summer Lipsticks

Sunday, 26 July 2015

These are my favourite lipsticks/lip products for Summer:
Tanya Burr lip gloss in the shade Picnic in the Park
I wear this non-stop. I absolutely love it.  This is the perfect summer lip colour!  It's a peachy-pink colour that looks so beautiful on the lips. It is also a great lip gloss for the price.
YSL Sheer Candy lipstick in the shade 09 Cool Guava
It's sheer and moisturising while gives great colour to the lips. It leaves a love glossy finish. Cool Guava is a summery baby pink colour.
Kiko Kiss Balm in 04 Cherry
This is a very hydrating tinted balm. It's creamy and moisturising on the lips and it also conteins spf15. The shade Cherry is a beautiful baby pink, very similar to the YSL Sheer Candy in Guava.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Coral
I use this every day at the moment. A sheer peachy pink colour, effortless colour that goes with everything. The consistency of this feels amazing, creamy and light.
Mac Vegas Volt
Bright and vibrant coral that brightens up your complexion. It's super pigmented, opaque but it feels creamy and hydrating so it is comfortable to wear. This is so summery and fun!

MAC lipstick in Milan Mode
This is one of my favourite Mac lipsticks. Milan Mode is a lustre finish so is sheer, glossy and wet looking.
The colour is a sheer fuchsia pink with subtle silver glitter. The formula is creamy and feels lovely on the lips.

Obsessed with...

Wednesday, 22 July 2015

La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF50 Dry Touch GelCream. If you're looking for a great and affordable sun cream for daily use, you should definitely give this one a try.

It provides very high protection against UVA rays and it's perfect for sensitive and sun-intolerant skin. The formula is simply amazing. It's not sticky or greasy at all and is great for wearing under make up.  It makes a great primer for foundation. It leaves the skin shine free and without white marks.

It absorbs quickly, dissapears into the skin inmediately. The skin feels smooth and it does my face matte, completely shine free.

Best suncream I have come across.

Summer Daily Makeup Routine

Monday, 20 July 2015
Here are some beauty updates I do on my make up bag to get ready when the weather gets warm. My favourite look for the summertime is a golden sun-kissed skin with a little bit of pink on the cheeks and lips.

1. Foundation: Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue (in the shade Vanilla)
Summer is when I'm going more to the light coverage side and at the moment I'm really loving the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. It looks natural on the skin, blends in very naturally and the finish is luminous and dewy but natural.

2. Concealer: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (the shade 15)
No surprise here! I seriously adore this concealer! It's great for under eye and for blemishes.

3. Eyebrows: Maybelline Master Shape brow pencil. (in the shade Soft Brown)
A recent and fantastic discovery! I love the waxy texture that makes the application super easy and the result is super natural.

4. Eye Pencil: Kiko Glamorous Eye Pencil in Golden Hazelnut.
Applied this all over the lid and on the waterline. I love these Kiko eye pencils, they're so creamy and the colour of this one in particular is stunning! It's a lovely gold bronzy colour. I like a good bronzy eye  I think it's such an easy shade to wear and looks really nice.

5. Mascara: Benefit Roller Lash.
I'm currently using this mascara from Benefit. It does a good job. Lengthens, defines and curls the lashes however Benefit They're Real mascara is still my favourite.

6. Bronzer: The Body Shop Honey Bronzer (shade 01)
Added a bit of bronzer to get that golden sun-kissed skin.

7. Blush: Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in the shade Lovely Pink.
Peachy pink cheeks with a bit of glow as well.

8. Highlighter: Mac Cream Color Base in the shade Hush.
Added a bit of this creamy highlighter on the top of cheeks, nose but also on my eyelids!

9. Lips: Clarins Lip Balm Perfector in Coral.
A sheer peachy pink colour, effortless colour that gives a beautiful glow to the lips.

10. Nails: Essie Splash of Grenadine.
I like something bright and bold on my nails in the summer. I'm obsessed with this nail colour! You can see it on this post.

Summer Lightweight Makeup Foundations

Saturday, 18 July 2015

These are my favourite foundations for summer. All of these are lightweight, breathable and give a beautiful, radiant finish.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

It's very light coverage which is nice for summer and it contains SPF30. It doesn't feel like you have a base product on. It feels fresh, breathable and hydrating on the skin and the finish is luminous and dewy but natural.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
This is amazing! A must try. This tinted cream has a light texture, it's easy to apply and blend onto the skin living a natural look with a lovely healthy glow. It instantly gives a flawless skin tone, reducing the appearance of the pores and fine lines.  A big plus for the SPF20.

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation
I've recently discovered this one and I'm super impressed. I like to use this on days when I want a little bit more coverage. But the formula is still lightweight, doesn't cake, doesn't accentuate dry patches and it's super long lasting. I love the finish, it's not super matte but leaves a healthy glow to the skin.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF20 Illuminating
I love this tinted moisturizer for summer. I've been using this for a couple of years already.  This gives the most amazing glow ever.  It can be very glowy though, but you can always mix with other foundation. Sheer coverage but enough to even out the skin. And with SPF 20.

Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite foundation for summer?

Drugstore Haul & First Impressions

Tuesday, 14 July 2015

This is what I picked up recently at the drugstore and some first impressions:

Nivea 3-in-1 Sensitive Micellar Cleanser Water. It removed makeup efficiently and leaves my skin nice and soft. However I think I much prefer the Garnier Micellar water which you can see in this post

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation. Wow. I've seen so many bloggers raving about this and I can see why. I'm super impressed! Lightweight, doesn't cake, doesn't accentuate dry patches and long lasting. I love the finish, it's not super matte but leaves a healthy glow to the skin.

Max Factor Creme Puff blush. These blushes are great, they're super pigmented and the colours are gorgeous. I chose the shade "Lovely Pink", a peachy pink colour that gives a fresh faced look and stays on for ages.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I haven't tried it yet but I've heard so many good things about this. The brush look amazing and I can't wait to try it out.

Maybelline Master shape brow pencil. This is really a fantastic brow pencil. I love the waxy texture that makes the application super easy and the result is super natural.

Have you tried any of these?

Favourite Summer Polish - Essie Splash of Grenadine

Tuesday, 7 July 2015

essie splash of grenadine review

I'm literally in love with this Essie nail colour. Essie Splash of Grenadine is summery, fun, girly, and elegant! I find myself reaching for this all the time. This colour just make me happy!

The colour is absolutely stunning. The perfect pinkish purple, not too pink, not too purple.

The brush is wide what makes the polish easy to apply. It looks opaque with only two coats. Streaks free and long lasting. I found the formula super long lasting, stayed on a whole week.

Gorgeous colour on your nails and toes for summer!

Current Makeup Bag Favourites

Sunday, 5 July 2015

I'm currently loving these three! They're my most used products at the moment:

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. It's very light coverage which is nice for summer and it contains SPF30. It doesn't feel like you have a base product on. It feels fresh, breathable and hydrating on the skin and the finish is luminous and dewy but natural.

Mac Cream Color Base in the shade Hush. I literally obsessed with this creamy highlighter! The colour is seriously stunning, a peachy, rose gold that makes you feel like a goddess! I use this as a highlighter on my cheeks, nose and on the inner corner of my eyes. Sometimes I even use it as eyeshadow. The texture is creamy but not sticky and the finish is dewy without any shimmer or sparkle so it looks super natural.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector. The consistency of this feels amazing, creamy, silky and light. I got this in the shade Coral, a sheer peachy pink colour, effortless colour that goes with everything and gives a beautiful glow to the lips.

If you are visiting Italy this summer

Friday, 3 July 2015

If you're planning on visiting Italy this summer, let me tell you most parts of Italy can get super hot in the summer. High temperatures, heat and humidity. It can get really hot but can feel hotter because of the urban heat effect. Italians themselves tent to desert the cities.

With the high tempatures makeup tent to melt off your face. Here're a few tips on how to stay cool and some make up essentials for a summer/heat proof makeup.
