February starts tomorrow and this means one thing Valentine's Day is very close! Personally I like to celebrate this day and I always prepare something special, either something fun with my friends or a more romantic date with my boyfriend. I also enjoy searching for some inspiration and lovely pictures in Pinterest. So today I wanted to share this selection of pictures hopefully you can find some inspiration too.

If you exchange presents that day, a good idea for her could be this Prada Perfume set with this lovely heart shaped box, or the typical bouquet of flowers which is always a good idea. Another great choice is a lovely box of chocolates. For him, what about this set with socks and boxers with heart details? I think is really cute.

If you celebrate that day at home, light up a nice candle and take a lovely bath alone or in company, this heart shaped soap from Lush is perfect for this day. If you stay with your friends, a bottle of pink champagne some chocolates or macaroons are in the menu. Ah! and a romantic movie. The perfect combination!

Get dressed and go for a romantic dinner out with the boy, this red skater dress is lovely for the occasion. Don't forget the lingerie! H&M came out with a gorgeous selection for this Valentine's Day. I'm in love with the one of the picture. Complete the look with red lips and nails.

What is your plan for this Valentine's Day? Do your celebrate this day?

January is almost over so it is time to choose the favourites products of the month. So here there is my top 5 products I've been loving this month:

L'oreal Color Riche Nail Polish 404 Scarlett Vamp. I own a couple of these L'oreal nail lacquers and I must say I really pleased with the formula and the colours. This particularly shade caught my attention this month. It is a cherry red, more cool toned which look very shiny and beautiful on the nails. Check the image below.

The Body Shop Banana Conditioner. Omg this smell...yum! If you like the smell of bananas you'll love this products. It a good conditioner, creamy and nourishing. Leaves the hair soft and free of tangles.

Nars Lipstick in Dolce Vita. This is brown-pink or dusty rose colour, a kind of my-lips-but-better colour. The formula is sheer and quite glossy but the product will stay for long on the the lips. This is the kind of nude colours that works for me.

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser. This product has worked well for me. It does leave the skin smooth and well hydrated. It is very easy and comfortable to use which make it great specially for those busy mornings. The smell is also good, mild and delicate.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate. This is my first Maybelline Color Tattoo eye shadow but definitely won't be the last one. This is a gorgeous burgundy red with brown undertone and with some subtle shimmer on it. The colour is so beautiful and the formula is just amazing. Fantastic drugstore product.

What are your favourites of the month?
Hope you liked the post,

Bonjour lovelies! Today I wanted to talk you about all these fabulous skin and hair products we can find easily in the French Pharmacies. All these products became famous because they all have a fantastic quality, formula and reasonable prices.

The good thing is that we don't need to go to France every time we want to buy some of these goods. Today you can find easily in the pharmacies in your country or other beauty stores.

Other thing the I love is that they usually make smaller sizes of the products or kits which make it easier to try their products before to buy the normal size.

Here there is the list of my favourites products:

What do you think about this selection of must haves?

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire is the Queen of micellar waters! In my opinion all the hype about this product is absolutely right. My skin has changed in a very positive way since I've discovered this water. Brilliant!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Anti-Blemish is another product that has changed my skin, specially in my chin area where I break out very easily. Fantastic product which help you to dry out all those ugly blemishes. It was one of my favourites products of 2013.

I've just discover the hair products by Phyto and I think they have a good range of interesting products. Currently I'm using this shampoo for damaged hair.

I really like Nuxe products. I've tried quiet a few and I have to say I really liked everything that I tried so far. I've spoken about the Reve de Miel Lip Balm and the Huile Prodigieuse so many times but they are really fantastic.
The hand and nails cream is also good, from the same range of the lip balm.
My latest acquisition has been this eye cream and I'm very pleased with it. There are other products which are also good such as the Cleansing water with rose petals.

Caudalie is very interesting brand as well and one of my favourites. Their best seller is the Beauty Elixir, a multi purpose product which you can use as a toner, to set your make up, etc..  This mist contains essential oils and feels cooling and fresh on the skin  leaving your skin hydrated. Lots of celebrities love this product.

The Vinoperfect serum is a very good product indeed. It helps to brighten your skin fighting against skin marks. It feels very light on the skin and I can tell my skin has improved.

It is also very nice this Grape water, very refreshing, which makes it lovely to use during summer. It is comparable to the thermal waters, like the one from Avene which is also good.

Do you like some of these products? Any other products I need to try from the French Pharmacy?

Everyone loves a very good red nail varnish. It is classy, feminine, timeless and it goes with everything. Today I want to show you these four special red nail polish colours which are neutral and suitable for everyone in my opinion. Let's take a look!

Chanel Le Vernis in Fire. Chanel nail polishes are not the best when it comes to quality but the colour range is just to die for. This red shade has a  yellow tone which looks amazing in medium to dark complexion.

Lacome Vernis In Love in the shade Miss Coquelicot is the perfect red shade. I would describe this as a neutral red colour, not too yellow, not too pink. It will look good on everyone. Check a full review here.

Pupa Lasting Color Gel number 032. This has a clearly pink base. It is a very beautiful color and will look also fantastic on everyone.

Chanel Le Vernis in Rouge Noir. This is such a classic colour, the oxblood red. It look very different in comparison with the other red colours mentioned but equally beautiful and feminine. This is the must have red colour!

What are your favourite red nail polish?

Usually when we speak about the best beauty products we mention more pricey beauty brands. But the truth is we can also find very good products and inexpensive easily in our drugstores. I started to think what would be my top 10 drugstore finds and here there is the list. In my opinion any of these products has a very good quality and I highly recommend. I hope you like it and find it useful!
Here there is my selection:

  1. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is a Drugstore classic.  Set and mattify nicely without looking cakey. If you haven't try it yet, you definitely should.
  2. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer has a very creamy and thick texture which covers everything!
  3. Rimmel ScandaEyes Eye Pencil in nude is the best nude eyeliner I have ever tried!
  4. I cheated choosing as the best foundations the Rimmel Wake Me Up and also the Bourjois Healthy Mix. Both have a glowy finish but they look super natural.
  5. The Maybelline Gel Eyeliner is comparable in quality to others more expensive eye-liners like Mac or Bobbie Brown. Perfect!
  6. Rimmel ScaldalEyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet is a bronzy shimmery brown colour which will look good on everybody. The consistency is very creamy at first but will set on the eyelids and will last perfect for long.
  7. With the Real Techniques Brushes you'll get high quality and perfect results. Simple as that.
  8. Nivea Lip Butters are very moisturising and the lovely scent is a plus. The Vanilla and Macadamia is my favourite.
  9. L'Oreal Lumi Maguique Pen is as good as the YSL Touche Eclat. Perfect!
  10. Oh the Kiko Cosmetics Eyebrow Precision Pencil...Still haven't tried this gem? Love love love this!

What do you think about this selection? Do you love or hate some of these products?

I've been thinking to do this kind of post for a while. Sometimes choose the right product for using as a bronzer or to contour your face can be tough. Today I want to share with all of you my favourites products and experience. Hopefully this will be helpful for someone.

Here there are my current favourites products. Three of them are Bronzers and two of them are technically Blushes but I use for contouring and actually I get excellent results. Let's take a look to them separately:

Nars Laguna is a kind of golden colour with subtle shimmer on it. This best selling bronzer is really beautiful. Good quality, easy to blend and build-able formula. Also, it is suitable for different skin tones, form pale to darker complexions. Personally I prefer to use this during summer time. I find this colour not perfect for winter when my skin is so pale, it can give a "dirty" effect. It is pricey.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil has a matte chocolate brown colour. This is the darkest colour of the brunch,  is perfect for contouring. However I also find this too dark in a fair skin tone. It's not the most natural finish. Yes it has a chocolate scent.

The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder has been my latest acquisition and I'm really pleased with it. The formula is amazing, silky touch and apply nicely. It is completely matte and you can contour and do bronzing without looking too obvious. The colour number 1 is perfect for the palest skin tones. It has such a cute packaging with this honeycomb pattern and it is quite affordable. Worth to try!

Burberry Light Glow Blush in Earthy was my discovery from the past year and it soon became my signature. I just love this so much. It has a brown/taupe colour and in my opinion it gives the most natural shadow to your cheeks. Highly recommend for the lightest complexions. The quality and texture are fantastic, silky, easy to blend and build-able colour. Perfection! I did a full review of this here if you fancy take a look.

Last we have Nars Douceur Blush. This has been in my wishlist for long and finally got it during Christmas. It has a pink-brown colour and it is perfect for those days you want to give to your face a very natural touch. Apply this on your cheekbones and will instantly give you a very soft contouring, which look fresh and natural.

Here there are the swatches in my skin tone:

Have you got a favourite? To sum up all this information, you can find below a chart with all the main characteristics of the mentioned products.

I hope you enjoy this. Hopefully this will be helpful for someone.

Have a great day,

I think we all became crazy when the Naked palette number 3 came out. Urban Decay is doing a good business with these palettes!
I'm a big fan of the original Naked Palette, I think is fantastic. I don't own the second one but I also have the Naked Basics which I think is great too.
The first time I saw this new palette I fell in love instantly, and didn't happened with the Naked 2. I thought the colours were gorgeous so I waited until the palette came to Sephora here in Italy.
When I had it on my hands I started to have my doubts about it and there was a moment I decided not to buy it. I thought it wasn't that pretty and that I didn't need it. After thinking  I got it in the end but just because I had a discount to spend ha ha :)

Today I want to talk a bit about this palette and show you my personal review about it and see if this is really worth to buy. Let's get started!

The packaging is cute. Metallic, kind of rose gold colour and with a wrinkled effect. For sure the material used is better than the palette number one. It's a good one. The palette contains 12 eye shadows.

The eye shadows are good when it comes to quality and pigmentation. They are easy to work and blend. The colours as you can see have a clear pink undertone, so if you like pink eye shadows you'll love this palette.
There are some interesting colours like the matte ones in this palette which I think they are very pretty. There are  3: Strange, Limit and Nooner. I find also very interesting the one called Darkside cause is quite different and special.

However there are these 3 colours, Liar, Factory and Mugshot, which are too similar in colour. Also two of the pinks look basically the same. In addition, I find that a couple of them are quite dusty, due to the fair amount of glitter that contain which may fall out during wear.

If I have to choose some favourites I would say the mattes and the mauve-taupe colours, Liar, Factory and Mugshot, but as I said previously they can look quite the same. I find the darkest colour, called Blackheart, very interesting but I don't know why it doesn't look the same on my eyelids, so it has been quite disappointing.

I also got a little disappointment with the brush that comes with. I know that the brushes in the palettes generally tent to be quite bad but I was expecting more from Urban Decay and this brush.
You can find also four samples of different eye shadow primers in the box.

  • The palette is very pretty I have to say it, but is more pretty than useful. I think at the end I will only use three or four colours out of twelve and this is not worthy.
  • I wish there were more matte tones.
  • The colours are more warm than cool tone.
  • I thought this one was prettier than the Naked 2 but now I start to think that the two is more interesting in colours and useful.
  • In my opinion the Naked original is still the best one.

Do you own this palette? What do you think about it?
Lots of love,

With the new year starting is time to set some new beauty resolutions. Here there is my list for this year:

It so good have a collection of samples to try out new and different things. By in the end you just collect products in a drawer and you never use them, so I'm going to try to use all of them.

Organization is the key, and keeping all you make up organized looks very pretty.

It so important use sun screen every day during winter as well, but sometimes I just forget to apply every morning. This Kiehl's cream is so light and comfortable to wear under your make up.

Eye shadows palettes are great and beautiful but in my case I don't use them on regular basis, so I want to use them more often and create more different looks.

I tend to forget to apply body lotions after the shower or everyday, but this year I'll try to use all these products more, it makes such a different.

Last, one of the resolutions that is in my list every year. Drink more water everyday!

What are your resolutions for this year?

Have a nice day,
