Another month has gone by so here I am with a recap of my month with some Instagram photos. You can follow my Instagram here :)
Goodbye June and welcome July!

Sunday, 28 June 2015

This month I've been loving...

Essie Splash of Grenadine. I love this colour! a pink-magenta with purple undertone. Fast drying and streak-free formula. I can't stop looking at my nails every time I wear it! Such a gorgeous colour!

La Roche Posay Serozinc*. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin using this, it controls the oily areas and the small annoying spots on my chin have disappeared.  (check my review here)

Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder. The powder of this is so incredible silky, creamy and so easy to blend. The highlighter is matte which makes it perfect for under the eye. The duo is great for a subtle everyday contoured and highlighted look but you can build the depth of the colour for a more defined result. (full review here)

Kiko Glamorous Eye Pencil 401 Golden Hazelnut. I've been addicted to this bronze brown eye pencil. These eye pencils from Kiko are long lasting, super pigmented and creamy and the colours are gorgeous.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 Candy ShimmerIt's extremely moisturising and feel so nice on the lips. It's creamy and glossy but not sticky and smells delicious.

What are your favourites of the month?

New addition to my skincare

Wednesday, 24 June 2015

I was a little sceptical about this product. I have combination and sensitive skin and I though this would be quite harsh to my skin but I've been pleasantly surprised.

La Roche Posay Serozinc*  does not dry my skin, it sprays on effortlessly, soaks into the skin quickly and doesn't feel sticky. It leaves a clean and fresh feel to your skin.

I have noticed a difference in my skin using this, it controls the oily areas and the small annoying spots on my chin have disappeared. No breakouts since using it!

Simple to use and it feels great! would highly recommend.

Self Tanners for pale Skin

Monday, 22 June 2015

I don't naturally tan. I don't sunbathe either. I like to use self tanners in the summer to give some colour. I don't want to look super tan though. I look super weird with a strong tan. But I do love that glow, sun-kissed skin in summer.

I have tried products like St Tropez self tan but I really didn't like the instant results. Gradual tanners are my personal preference, the result is much more natural.

These products work perfectly. All these give a natural healthy-looking glow.

I love the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion. It's super easy to apply and it creates a really natural sun kissed look. It smells nice and makes the skin feel moisturized.  It is great for fair skin girls and also for self-tanner beginners.

I recently got this Palmer's Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning which is similar to the Dove one. It smells lovely, and gives a natural even tan.

For the face I like to use the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster.  It's very easy to use and the result is super natural and nice. You need to mix only 3 drops with your regular moisturizer before to go to bed and the next morning you have a natural bronzed glow.

I got the Sally Hansen Salon Airbrush Legs for special occasions. This is like makeup for your legs but it's easy to apply and looks natural. I got the lightest shade, called Light Glow. You have to shake it up really well. You can spray it directly on your legs but it's much better if you put the product first on your hands and they apply it. Make sure you blend the product really well!

Do you self tan? What is your favourite self tanner product?

New Frames with

Friday, 19 June 2015

These are my new favourite pair of glasses!  They are from, an online store where you can find quality glasses at very affordable prices. There are so many frames to choose from, as well as prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses

They are cheap glasses but the quality is really good. I found it a little tricky to figure out what might suit me, without being able to try them on. But, there is this incredible tool on the site that allows you to upload a picture of yourself and virtually try them on.

The frames I'm wearing are called the Wichita Wayfarer in tortoise colour*. Usually I would avoid these kind of eyeglasses but I though I would try something different. I always liked the look of the RayBans Clubmaster so when I saw these pair of glasses I got super excited.

The delivery was super quick. They arrived well packed in a hard case and with a cleaning cloth.

They really are amazing quality for the price. Take a look at their website and get a 50% off your order with the code GSHOT50!

Plus they have this huge campaign right now called First Pair of Glasses Free where new customers can get the first pair free! how amazing is that?

Highly recommend GlassesShop for your next glasses shopping.

Natural Skincare Routine On a budget

Tuesday, 16 June 2015

THE CLEANSER. Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk. This cleanser is super creamy and smells divine. It's extremely gentle and cleanses well but it leaves some residue on the skin, a kind of milky film. So I have to apply a bit of micellar water afterwards.

THE EYE CREAM. Skin Blosson Reviving Eye Cream. It absorbs into the skin easily without leaving the area feeling sticky or greasy. The skin feels super soft and the eyes feel refreshed.

THE FACE CREAM. Lavera Basis Sensitive Q10 Moisturising Cream. This face cream is light and delicate. It goes on really well and absorbs quickly. It's a basic moisturizer; I think it's great for normal skin types since isn't super rich. I really dislike the smell though.

THE OIL/SERUM. Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate is a quite dense oil but three drops is all you need,  sinks in immediately and leave the skin soft. It´s great for dry patches, scars, red marks and for healing a blemish fast. It is also really moisturising perfect to boost your skin’s moisture

THE TONER/MIST Caudalie Beauty ElixirThis mist contains essential oils and feels cooling and fresh on the skin leaving your skin hydrated. I use this as a toner, I like the way my skin feels afterwards: soft and moisturized.

THE LIP BALM. Balm Balm Rose Geranium Lip Balm. This is a multi-purpose 100% organic balm which can be used for  lips, cuticles, dry patches, eyebrows, etc.  it's super moisturising  and last for long on the lips. I seriously adore this lip balm.

Do you have a natural skin care routine

Accessories Haul with Born Pretty Store

Saturday, 13 June 2015

I like jewellery and accessorizes a lot. From statement jewellery to delicate pieces. My wardrobe consists mainly of black and neutral colours so accessorizes are great to complete the look, to enhance and bring life to an outfit.

I was recently sent these beautiful jewellery pieces from the web Born Pretty Store, from the Jewelry and Accessories sectionBorn Pretty Store is an online store that has a wide variety of categories and a huge collection of products.  When they asked me to choose a couple of pieces to review I got super excited. They have tons of amazing inexpensive jewellery pieces and other accessorizes.

The shipping was really fast, faster than I expected and everything arrived well-packed and in excellent condition.

Crystal Ear Cuff Ear-hook*

This crystal ear cuff is super cool and unique. It's super beautiful and a perfect finishing touch to a monochromatic outfit. The material is really good but is quite heavy which makes it a bit uncomfortable to wear.

Star Flower Leaf Rings Set*

I was desperate for finding a leaf ring that's why I choose this ring set. They look so cute together but I absolutely obsessed with the leaf pattern one. Oh and they are rose gold!

Eyelash Design Earring Clip Shiny Rhinestone Ear Cuff Ear-hook*

These are my favourite item of the collection. Not only these are super comfortable but they are very stylish and I get compliments every time I wear them. And they're only 2 dollars!

Fancy something new? Take a look at their Jewelry and Accessories section and receive a 10% off your order and free shipping worldwide with the coupon code below.

Five empties I would repurchase and Five I wouldn't

Thursday, 11 June 2015

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water is such an amazing product!  Recently I discovered the Garnier Micellar water and I really like it, and it's so much cheaper. But I will keep repurchasing this anyway, specially when is on offer.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I love this multitasking mist specially during summer. I like the travel size bottle to keep it in my handbag.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Touch of Light. The best highlighter pen ever! It's great for the under eye area and also for highlighting areas of the face like cheekbones and browbones for an instant face lift. This brighten up like no other!

The Body Wash Seaweed Deep Facial Wash. This is my third bottle! I love this to remove my makeup during my night time routine. This does a great job removing make up. It's also very gentle on the skin, so it's perfect my sensitive skin.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Enhancing Shampoo for darker blondes. I really like this shampoo for my blonde highlights. It leaves the hair clean, shiny and soft.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Leave In Conditioner. Another product from the Sheer Blonde range. This also works as heat protectant. It's not a bad product but I feel like it does nothing to my hair.

Colab Dry Shampoo Tokyo. This smells incredible but it does not clean my hair well. But it's really strange because now I'm using the New York scent and I really like it.

Origins GinZing is a great moisturizer. It has a light texture, it absorbs quickly and it feels really nice and fresh in the skin. But that's all. I think is perfect for younger girls but I need something else in my moisturizer.

John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo. I wouldn't repeat with this John Frieda product either.  I can't say it really made a difference in repairing my hair.

Rimmel Worder'Full is a very simple mascara. I like the fact it has Argan oil in it which is quite innovative for a mascara and it's supposed to be good for your lashes, but the result is nothing special so I would't buy it again.

Mani-Pedi Color Combos for Summer

Monday, 8 June 2015

I have always been the same colour on fingers and toe nails kind of girl. But lately I've been enjoying doing these different colour pairings on my nails.

In general I opt to place darker colours on the toes than on the fingers. My personal all time summer combo is a red orange on the toes and a pastel shade on the nails.

These are some of my favourite colour combinations. Perfect polish combos to try for your next mani-pedi.

Coral + Purple
Essie Cute As a Button + Essie Splash Of Grenadine
This pairing is full of life. It's fresh, girly and so summery.

Peach + Lavender
Essie Tart Deco + Kiko 338.
I love the pastel colour of these two and I think they go perfect together.

Orange + Blue
Kiko 357 + Essie Bikini So Teeny
This transport me to the beach! This is one of my favourite vacation combination. I love an orange colour on the nails during summer.

Hot Pink + Nude
Tanya Burr Be Bright Be Happy Be You + Kiko 508
These are a perfect match in my opinion. It's more a safe and neutral option for who likes to stay in a neutral toned palette.

Raspberry + Mint
Essie Exotic Liras + Barry M| Gelly Sugar Apple.
The raspberry color looks so feminine and the mint shade just gives a fresh look perfect for this season.

Red Orange + Baby Blue
Essie Fifth Avenue L'Oreal Color Riche Ocean Porcelain.
This is feminine, bright and fun.

What's your favourite mani-pedi colour combo?

Four must-try from lush

Friday, 5 June 2015

The pretty bath bombs from Lush are amazing (the brand's best sellers). But there is a lot more in Lush. These four are my absolute must-try-once products from Lush.

Here are my top Lush must haves:

Lush Big Shampoo
This is a sea salt and clarifying shampoo used for a deep cleansing to remove any buildup. I use this one time per week and my hair comes out super shiny, clean and with a lot of volume. Plus smells incredible, so fresh and clean.

Lush Herbalism Facial Cleanser
This cleans my skin without drying it out or irritating it which is great for sensitive skin. I truly noticed a difference in my skin after this, the product has helped with the blemishes and to clear up the skin. It also exfoliates but is really gentle, so it's perfect for everyday use.

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Mask
This is such an amazing natural mask for sensitive skin! It's a clay mask with blueberries and chamomile that smells and feels amazing. It is very cool and soothing and my skin feels great afterwards. It really does take away the redness and my skin feels softer and even and the few bumps and marks seemed to be reduced. It really helps your skin calm down with redness and if it's breaking out.

Lush Sandstone Exfoliator Soap
I'm obsessed with the scent and how it leaves my skin afterwards. It contains sand which makes a fantastic exfoliator. It may seem a bit rough because of the sand in it but is gentle and doesn't dry out the skin or irritate. Just be sure to hydrate your skin afterwards. The scent is very uplifting: citrus and fresh.

I didn't include any bath bomb or bubble bar because there are so many great that would be difficult to chose only a couple. But some of my favourites are: Karma Bubble Bar, Sunnyside bubble bar,  Phoenix Rising or Think Pink Bath Bomb.

Have you tried of these? What your favourite Lush product?

Getting ready for summer

Wednesday, 3 June 2015

So the weather is warming up. Well, here in Italy it's already Summer. So I've pulled out a few products ready for the season, some summery beauty essentials.

Self Tanner Lotion. Gradual tanners are my personal preference, the result is much more natural. I love the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing LotionIt's super easy to apply and it creates a really natural sun kissed look. It smells nice and makes the skin feel moisturized.

Brights & Pastels Nail polishes. Pastel colours and corals. I love wearing these colours in summer. Essie Bikini so teeny, Essie Need a vacation, Essie Tart Deco are some of my favourite summer nail polishes.

SPF. I'm super careful with my skin so spf is an essential step in my skin care, especially in summer. I love the Khiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF 50. But recently I found a cheaper and amazing alternative to this one, La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF50 Dry Touch Gel Cream both have a light not sticky formula, they absorb quickly into your skin and they're perfect to wear under the makeup.

Bronzer. I love Nars Laguna bronzer for summer. It gives such a beautiful bronzy glow without looking too shimmery.

Are you ready for summer?
