Summer Lightweight Makeup Foundations

Saturday, 18 July 2015

These are my favourite foundations for summer. All of these are lightweight, breathable and give a beautiful, radiant finish.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

It's very light coverage which is nice for summer and it contains SPF30. It doesn't feel like you have a base product on. It feels fresh, breathable and hydrating on the skin and the finish is luminous and dewy but natural.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
This is amazing! A must try. This tinted cream has a light texture, it's easy to apply and blend onto the skin living a natural look with a lovely healthy glow. It instantly gives a flawless skin tone, reducing the appearance of the pores and fine lines.  A big plus for the SPF20.

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation
I've recently discovered this one and I'm super impressed. I like to use this on days when I want a little bit more coverage. But the formula is still lightweight, doesn't cake, doesn't accentuate dry patches and it's super long lasting. I love the finish, it's not super matte but leaves a healthy glow to the skin.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF20 Illuminating
I love this tinted moisturizer for summer. I've been using this for a couple of years already.  This gives the most amazing glow ever.  It can be very glowy though, but you can always mix with other foundation. Sheer coverage but enough to even out the skin. And with SPF 20.

Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite foundation for summer?

  1. I don't use foundation... But the garnier one seems like it would be a great one to start as it's so lightweight! :)
