This month I've been loving...

Absolutely brilliant palette! Beautiful colours and amazing pigmentation. It has a combination of different textures, all super pigmented and smooth. They can be used as eye-shadows as well. Plus the packaging is so beautiful and compact. Great palette and all the shades are perfect for Spring.
It's a gorgeous shimmery peachy-pink highlighter.  It's not too shimmery and doesn't add much colour; it's quite sheer but it gives a perfect dewy,  natural healthy glow.  I love it as a blush too.
This is sheer nude shade. A classic and timeless colour every woman should own in their collection. I picked this up thinking about my wedding day, it could be a good option for that day. I love the applicator, the brush is wide and it has a rounded head which fits the shape of your nails.
I've been enjoying this lip oil from Lancome so much lately. The design is so cute and the cushion applicator is lovely and soft. It's very moisturising and lovely to wear and this shade gives a beautiful subtle peachy-pink colour to the lips. Such a lovely lip product to keep in your handbag. I want one in every colour!
Lovely concealer from the Drugstore! It has a nice consistency, it's creamy, pigmented and covers dark circles perfectly. It goes smooth and brightens under eye  The shade 'light' is perfect if you have pale skin. The packaging is lovely and it looks more expensive than it is.

TAG | AM-PM Routine

am-pm routine tag, makeup favorites

Oh I love a good tag post! And this tag is a nice one.
Thanks to the lovely Ashlyn from Let It Be Beautiful for tagging me! Check her answers here :)
Here it goes:

What is your beauty morning routine? I start my beauty morning routine by using cleansing water, jut put it on a cotton disk ( I normally use  Garnier or Bioderma micellar waters). After that some thermal water (I love the Avene Thermal water) as a toner and I then apply my creams. I use La Roche Posay Redermic Eyes for my yes and for moisturiser I'm using  at the moment the Vichy Normaderm Beautifying Anti-blemish 24h hydration. (I love French-Pharmacy skincare products!)

What's for breakfast? I'm a morning person and I love having a proper breakfast! I usually take italian coffee with skim milk and porridge with cinnamon, almond butter and berries or some toasts.
Coffee or tea? Both! In the morning I drink coffee and I drink lots of tea during the day. And sometimes some cappuccino in the afternoon as well.
How long does it take to get out the door? It depends on my hair situation, I'm usually ready to go in about half an hour to forty minutes. If I have to wash my hair, it will take me a little bit more.
What is your go-to makeup look on a fuss-free morning? My go-to makeup would be, Dior BB Creme and Maybelline Fit Me concealer. Anastasia Brow Wiz for my brows. Some eyeshadow in stick, usually ByTerry Ombre Blackstar in Frozen Quartz and Benefit They're real mascara. Some bronzer, to my cheeks, at the moment I'm using Givenchy Healthy Glow A tiny bit of highlighter and some tinted lip balm, usually Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Coral.

What is your evening beauty routine? I remove my makeup with the Vichy Cleansing Micellar Oil and Garnier Micellar water. I then spritz my face with some Avene Thermal water. I apply some eye cream and the Vichy Night Detox Cream which detoxes the skin getting rid of toxins during the night. Some nights I use the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery oil as well. On Fridays I always exfoliate my skin and put on a face mask.
Snack time! What's in the bowl? Anything sweet. I love chocolate! But I'm currently obsessed with almond butter! I love having it on toast or on a rice cake.
How do you wind down and prep for bed? I catch up on my favourite blogs, browse Pinterest, drink tea, read a book and spend time with my fiancé.
Cozy up! What are you wearing to sleep? I adore my silky pj's but also love cosy Primark pajamas and oversized t-shirts.
What are some things you must do before hitting in hay? I make sure my alarm is set. I put on some lip balm and hand cream. I also need to use the This Works Deep Sleep Stress Less oil, the smell of this is so calming and comforting that it really helps me to relax and sleep better.

What are your AM/PM Routines?
I'd love to hear your answers too

Coral-Peach | Favourites

Sunday, 24 April 2016

My all-time favourite shades to wear. Especially in this time of the year.
Here's some of my favourite coral makeup items.

Benefit 'Coralista' blush. The perfect peachy pink colour! The formula is lovely. It gives a lovely glow and a healthy look.
Nars 'Gilda' blush. It's an orange-coral with a matte finish. I adore this blush for adding a pop of colour to my cheeks.
Nars 'Orgasm' blush. It's the brighter sister of Benefit 'Coralista'This peachy pink with golden shimmer blush is universally flattering, looks great on everyone, gives the cheeks a gorgeous and healthy soft pink glow.
Nars 'Orgasm' Illuminator. This is a great peachy-pink highlighter. It's not too shimmery and doesn't add much colour; it's quite sheer but it gives a perfect dewy,  natural healthy glow.
Kiko Color Veil blush 01. The shade is a lovely peachy pink colour, so beautiful and flattering on eveyone. I love it because it gives the cheeks a natural luminosity and radiant finish.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Coral.  I love how hydrating and comfortable these are. This shade is a sheer peachy pink; effortless colour that gives a beautiful glow to the lips.
Lancome 'Freedom of Peach' Juicy Shaker. Everyone is talking about these at the moment but the thing is they're really nice! This is basically a lip oil with a bit of colour. It's very moisturising although doesn't last long, but it's so fun to re-apply this with the cushion applicator. The shade 'Freedom of Peach'  is a beautiful peachy-pink colour.

A Special Birthday | Turning 30

Sunday, 17 April 2016

Turning 30?! Don't care! Let's celebrate!

Today is my 30th birthday! I can't believe the day is here. I'm still processing it. But I'm feeling pretty excited actually.  I'm excited for this new chapter in my life.

I thought I'd get that 'OMG I'm not longer in my 20s' fear and freak out like everyone else. There is this thirtieth-birthday cliché of thinking that after this age your life is over.  We always imagine that we will be in a certain place and certain way when we reach certain age. It seems that when you're turning thirty, you'd have it so together and life would be all figured out. But not necessarily. I am not even close to where I thought I would be at 30. I'm far from having my life figured out. I understand I don't have all the answers and I'm ok with that. I personally still have things to learn and I'm still trying to find myself.

There's so much stress surrounding the age of 30. You know those, 'things to do before turning 30' or 'You'll regret it if you haven't done these before 30' lists. I hate reading those type of things. They're really overwhelming, I'm more like 'do the things whenever you like or when you feel prepare'. You shouldn't spend your life worrying about checking off a list of goals.

Ten years ago, I would have never guessed that my life would be how it is now. Living in another country, far from my family and friends. But I don't see it as something negative. I have had the best time of my life. (Don't be afraid to move abroad!) I have lots of things to be grateful for and I feel blessed to have reached this milestone. Maybe I am not where I 'supposed to be' but I am where I want to be and where I'm meant to be; and I will keep following this path.  I love living new adventures and to think what my life will be in another ten years is something exciting.

Don't be afraid of getting older. You shouldn't be scared of turning 30. It's ok if you don't tick off all the boxes of your things-to-do-before-thirty list. Life still goes on. Enjoy it.

#30 quotes and thoughs I live by:

1. Age is only a number.
2. Live your life and forget your age.
3. How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
4.  Love is always stronger than hate.
5. Life is a gift. Wake up every day a realize that.
6. Breathing dreams like air.
7. My favourite age is NOW.
8. Aging is out of your control. How you handle it, though, is in your hands.
9. Do not compare yourself to others.
10. Focus on the good.
11. Kindness is a melody everyone can sing along to.
12. It's never too late to start over.
13. Don't be afraid of change.
14. Choose to be optimistic. It feels better.
15. The biggest mistake you could ever make is being too afraid to make one.
16. Your dream doesn't have an expiration date. Take a deep breath and try again.
17. Never stop showing someone how much they mean to you.
18. No beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart.
19. Never stop learning.
20. Be who you are not who the world wants you to be.
21. Your time is limited. Don't waste it.

Spring Edit | Makeup Staples

spring makeup products, spring beauty products

Spring has finally arrived here in Italy. The weather is getting warmer and I'm getting ready with my wardrobe and also with my makeup routine. In this post I'm going to show you what I'm moving to the top of my makeup bag this Spring :)

Most of my makeup stay the same all year around but I like to switch up my base products and incorporate some colour with coral blushes and pink lip products.

Lightweight foundations and BB/CC Cream
I like the Chanel CC Cream because provides a good coverage and a nice, even, natural result and also contains a very high SPF to protect your skin from sun damage. The only downside for me of this is that has a very yellow undertone.
Another option is the new L'Oreal foundation, the Nude Magique Cushion, which is natural and lightweight on the skin and it has SPF29.
Coral blushes, glowy bronzers and Colorful Highlighters
My Spring go-to blush has to be Nars Gilda. It's a beautiful matte coral colour. On the cheeks I also love glowy bronzers such as Nars Laguna or the Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder
I'm super excited to use this Sleek 'Solstice' highlighting palette that contains such beautiful shades to add some amazing glow to the face.
For Sping I bring back the pinks and corals
I'm loving the new Lancome Jucicy Shaker, which is basically a lip oil with a bit of colour. It's very moisturising although doesn't last long, but it's so fun to re-apply this with the cushion applicator. I got the shade 'Freedom of Peach' which is a beautiful peachy-pink colour. Other lip products I love now are the Dior Lip Gloss in Miss, a beautiful natural pink, and the Revlon Matte lip balm in Showy, a super bright matte pink.

drugstore haul, makeup haul, affordable

I've been shopping, I've been shopping...
I've been in Scotland for the past week enjoying some time off with friends. But ,of course, I did some shopping, especially with things I cannot get here in Italy. This is part one (drugstore items) of a big haul!
So I was in Edinburgh the other day and there of course I went into Superdrug and Boots and picked up a few goodies...

Sleek Highlighter 'Soltice' palette link
I'm seriously obsessed with highlighters and this gorgeous palette instantly caught my attention at the store. How cute this palette looks?
Tanya Burr Hollywood palette link
Another cute palette I wanted to get for the longest time and is finally back in stock!
L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation link
New L'Oreal foundation everyone is talking about. I've actually tried it on already but it didn't impressed me much. I need to give it another try.
L'Oreal 'Erotique' matte lipstick link
This lipstick is so gorgeous! It's a dusky pink colour and it's matte.
L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in medium-dark link
It holds your brows in shape all day but this colour is too dark for my brows!
Essie 'Spin the bottle' nail polish link
This has been on my wishlist for a long time. It's such a beautiful nude colour. The perfect nude!
Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer in the shade Ivory link
I've heard good things about this new Bourjois concealer. I love the packaging, it looks more expensive and luxurious.
Ardell Demi Wispies eye lashes link
I don't normally use falsies but these are so beautiful and natural. I like having a pair at home for special occasions.

Garnier Micellar Water travel size link
I really really love this cleansing water! This travel-sized bottle is so cute, and perfect for taking on vacation or gym bag.
Garnier Oil-Infuced Micellar Water link
I'm really intrigued by this new micellar water! Has anyone tried this yet?
Charles Worthington Texturising spray link
A dupe for Oribe's texturising sparay but at a much more affordable price.
Colab Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo link
I picked up a new Colab dry shampoo, this time in the London scent, so far my favourite is the New York one.
Batiste 'Sweetie' Dry shampoo link
I also picked this Batiste dry shampoo since it was half price hehe but I don't like the smell, it's an extremely sweet scent.
