Are Mac eyeshadows still a thing?
If you've been around the online beauty community for years you'll know Mac eyeshows were everything at the beginning of last decade. It was everybody's go-to brand. I've been using Mac eyeshadows since 2011 and they have always been a staple in my makeup collection. They are kind of a cult product in Beauty.

Having a custom Mac palette has always been a dream of mine. I always loved the idea of creating my perfect palette selecting all the shades I like. Last year I was quite overwhelmed by all the eyeshadow palettes on the market and brands constantly releasing more palettes. So I decided to create my perfect palette, the one to choose when I don't know what to choose in my collection. It was a kind of beauty resolution of the decade.

So I finally finished my Mac palette.
It took me years and years but I finally finished it. I feel so proud! It just gives me happiness looking at it.
My perfect palette is made of neutral eyeshadows as you can tell. I specially love warm browns and pinks. They're all universal and wearable colours that would work with many different skin tones. Some must haves for neutral lovers and great choices for Mac newbies that want to get their first eyeshadows.

This is the collection:

First row, l-r

NYLON is a light gold with a metallic frost finish. I love this for highlight the inner corner, brow bone or as a touch of light in the center of the lid. The versatility is amazing.
NAKED LUNCH is a warm champagne pink with a frost finish. This just adds the right amount of shimmer to the lids. A must in any collection and the only one I hit pan on.
ALL THAT GLITTERS is a light rose gold shade. It's pigmented and easy to blend and it has the prettiest metallic finish. It's similar to Naked Lunch but All that glitters is warmer and more pink.
HONEY LUST is a very shimmery golden peachy colour. It's extremely beautiful but sadly not the easiest shadow to work with, it doesn't have the strongest payoff.
MYTHOLOGY is light copper pink shade. It's similar to Honey Lust in texture, very shimmery with a bit of fallout.

Second row, l-r

PATINA was my first MAC eyeshadow ever. Patina is a taupe brown with golden shimmer. It's a very popular colour in Mac, everyone seems to love it.
WOODWINKED is a medium gold-bronze colour. It has an orange undertone once applied. It has some shimmer on it but is finely milled. The finish is Veluxe Pearl with a texture that is so soft and buttery. The pigmentation and colour payoff are fantastic.
AMBER LIGHTS is a orangey amber gold shade. It's pigmented, shimmery with a metallic finish.
BRONZE is a true bronze colour. It's a great colour to wear all over the lid. It can be worn alone or for a more smokey eye look. It's also flattering on all eye colours.
ANTIQUED is a warm coppery brown shade perfect for day and night. It's such a beautiful shade that will bring out the green in your eyes.

Third row, l-r

SATIN TAUPE is a brownish taupe colour with silver shimmer in it. It's not too warm or too cool so it suits many skin tones. This is a classic and a best-seller from the brand.

SABLE is a plummy brown, very special and super beautiful alone all over the lid. It's pigmented and easy to blend and work with. It has a shinny finish but not glittery.
TEXTURE is a peachy medium brown with tiny flecks of micro shimmer. I love the unique colour of this, so warm and versatile. It looks great alone all over the lid and works great as transition or as crease shade.
UNINTERRUPTED is a matte caramel brown/ochre shade. I love the colour of this, it looks almost boring in the pan but its a unique brown. It's a great shade to pair with any other eye shadow. The pigmentation is excellent and the formula is so buttery soft.
BROWN SCRIPT is a reddish brown, terracotta shade. It's completely matte and very pigmented. I love this in the crease or built up a bit more in the outer corner of my eye.

THE TOP FIVE...
If I had to choose only five eyeshadows from this palette, I would choose: All that Glitters, Woodwinked, Antiqued, Texture and Uninterrupted. It's difficult to select only five favourites but I think these five shades are unique and great for natural and special looks. Woodwinked I love and use it so much that I have it in a single pot as well!

SPECIAL MENTION...
to one of my favourite shadows and the only one is not in the palette, SOBA. Soba is a very unique colour. It doesn't look like anything special in the pan but it's actually so pretty on the lids. It's a perfect natural everyday shade, a kind of my lids but better colour. It's a warm golden brown with tiny gold shimmer particles. It's got something special in it that makes brown eyes pop!

We all love a Kiko haul right? I needed to repurchase a few things and also managed to find some great products you should know about it.

New products and favourites

KIKO LIP VOLUME. I mentioned it in the 2019 favourites post, but this is so good I had to repurchase it already. It's a balmy pinky gloss with a subtle plumping effect. It's very hydrating and not sticky at all. I use it always in my morning and evening skincare routine.

KIKO LIP SCRUB. It's a good and practical scrub for lips. It's gentle but gives good results. Leaves the lips feeling soft and hydrated.

KIKO EXTRA SCULPT VOLUME WATERPROOF MASCARA. I was very curious about this waterproof mascara because I've heard good things about it. It has this big hourglass-shaped brush that looks a bit messy to be honest, let's see how this performs. It looks similar to Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

KIKO PERFECT GEL DUO. I've been buying this for years now, but only for the top coat. It's the best top coat for nails I have ever used! It dries the nail quickly and leaves an amazing gel like finish. It also helps to prevent nails from chipping.

KIKO LONG LASTING STICK EYESHADOW SHADE VINTAGE ROSE.  Another product I've been loving for years. I love how quick and easy are to use and they last well on the lids. I love this shade, the number 47 a gorgeous rose gold colour, I'm obsessed with it!

Why you should always check the limited edition collections?
I find that some of the best products from Kiko are often part of their limited collections. Kiko collections are frequent and you can find really good products sometimes. Products like blushes, bronzers, creams or highlighters are always nice and super special. Don't forget to take a look at them!
You can find gems like these:

KIKO MAGIC CREAM NOURISHING CREAM.  This was part of the Christmas collection and it was so difficult to find it in store. It was sold out everywhere! This got so popular because apparently is exactly the same to cult-classic moisturizer Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream. The ingredients are almost the same and the effecton the skin is identical. It's a nourishing cream, thick in consistency but it absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves the skin smooth and with a lovely glow. (If you have a Kiko store near you, please check if you can still find this! I managed to find mine even in sale!)

KIKO OCEAN FEEL HIGHLIGHTER. Another great find! It's part of the Ocean Feel Collection and the shade is the 02 Virtuous Golden Rose. The colour is so gorgeous, a pinky champagne, a bit rose gold too. It reminds me to one of favourite highlighters ever, Kitten by Stila. The baked formula gives a super pigmented glow, extremely beautiful! This should be part of the permanent collection!

Part two of 2019 beauty favourites. In this case I'm showing you my most loved skincare products. Beauty products that I absolutely enjoyed using in 2019 and I definitely will keep using during this 2020.

You can see the first part of 2019 favourites, the makeup faves here ;)

#1. Pixi Face Toners. I love them all! I've been using Glow Tonic for years now; it's a gentle exfoliating toner that contains glycolic acid but is really gentle and leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed, and my complexion looks also brighter. This year I also enjoyed using the Rose Tonic, which is soothing, calming and hydrating; and the Vitamin-C Tonic, this one is refreshing and brightening.

#2. Kiehl's Calendula Cleansing Foaming Face Wash. A gentle and effective cleanser. I love how extremely gentle this is on my skin; it cleans well without leaving my skin feeling tight or dry afterwards. It also helps my face looking clear and spot free. The texture is really lovely, it has a gel-like texture and a little goes a long way.

#3. Banilla Co Clean it Zero. This stuff is amazing! Better than the Clinique Cleansing balm in my opinion. It takes off all my makeup so well even the waterproof eye makeup with no effort. It leaves the skin feeling moisturized, soft and clean.

#4. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. I can't stop recommending this cream, it's brilliant! I love the way my skin looks in the morning after using this. When I wake up in the morning my face is extremely hydrated and plump.

#5. Origins Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay. I obsessed with this mask. This really helps me with my texture issues and does make my sensitive skin look much nicer in general. It exfoliates but its gentle and my skin feels much happier after using this.

#6. Kora Organics Noni Eye Oil. I love this eye oil! It glides in perfectly and it feels so nice after application and really helps with my under eye area. The rose quartz roller ball makes application so easy. It's amazing and so pleasant to use especially if left in refrigerator.

#7. Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil.  It's a retinol night-time treatment that targets sun damage marks and signs of ageing. This oil is fantastic, sinks into the skin fast and has made my skin look so much better. I've been using this regularly and I've noticed my skin is smoother, clearer and my pores are less visible.

#8. Kiko Lip Volume. It's a pinky gloss with a subtle plumping effect. I love the balmy texture of this, it's hydrating and not sticky at all.

#9. Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter. It smells delicious, the ingredients are great, and its SO moisturizing. It doesn't last for long but its such a pleasure re-apply this all day long!

#10. Patchology Eye Gels. I love the Restoring Night eye masks, they are made with retinol and peptides and target fine lines and fatigue. They help with fine lines and puffiness. I also use the Illuminating eye gels made with Vitamin C and help soothe dark circles, discoloration, uneven pigmentation.

#11. Innisfree Sheet MasksThese masks are great quality and they're so cheap! The masks are dripping wet with serum and feel so good and cooling on the skin. They leave my skin so hydrated, make my skin so soft and plump afterwards.

2019 beauty favorites, charlotte tilbury, dior, it cosmetics, abh, becca, huda,

Here there is the first post not only the year but of the decade! It's time for the favourites of the year. This is a post I have been doing for the last 6 or 7 years, it's a tradition already and I love doing this round up post of the year favourites.
Happy 2020 everyone!

#1. Dior Forever Glow Foundation. I have always been a fan of the Forever foundation by Dior and this glowy version has everything I like in a foundation.  It provides medium coverage, feels light but covers very well. It blends nicely and gives a natural glow to the skin.

#2. It Cosmetics CC Cream. One word to describe this might be WOW. It definitely lives up to the hype. It provides high coverage, it covers absolutely everything but doesn't look cakey on the skin. It's moisturising and gives a healthy glowy finish with a skin-like finish. It stays on pretty well, doesn't fade throughout the day. It also has the best packaging ever with pump applicator which makes it super comfortable to use and it's hygienic. It also contains SPF 50 which is an added plus.

#3. Nyx Bare With Me Hemp Primer.  As soon as you put this on the skin it makes your face look super luminous. I love the radiant moisture this product gives under foundation. It has a bronzy colour to it that can be used on arms or legs. This gives the loveliest radiant glow.

#4. Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette. I have used this palette from Dior so much this year. The colours are super beautiful and it's so versatile. You can mix the shades or use them separately. It's quite shimmery, maybe a little too much but the glow that this gives is unreal!

#5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette. This could be my favourite eyeshadow palette of all time! The shadows are so pigmented and they blend like a dream. If you love warm browns, earthy tones, this might be THE palette for you.

#6. Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyesbadow Palette. The colour selection on this one is so perfect. I also like the packaging, love the fact they put larger pans on each end. It's great for everyday looks and for beginners than want a good neutral palette.

#7. Huda Beauty Mini Nude Obsessions Palette. Perfect mini palette of warm tones. The shadows are pigmented and blend beautifully. The color selection is just perfection and it's perfect for travelling.

#8. Benefit 24h Brow Setting Gel. The only brow gel that holds eyebrows in place all day. I  like the applicator, it helps to separate all the hairs.

#9. Charlotte Tilbury Peachgasm Highlighter Wand. The most gorgeous peachy highlighter/blush ever!  It's pigmented and the peachy colour is so beautiful. The formula just melts into your skin giving such a beautiful glow. I use this as a blush or as blush topper to give even more glow to the cheeks.

#10. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Dancefloor Princess. Beautiful formula and beautiful colour! It's a nude-pink shade a bit lighter that CT Pillow Talk.

#11. Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath Gloss. I got the shade Rosy Glow and I love it. It's a beautiful nude pink shade. It's glossy but not too sticky.

#12. Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper. The best lip plumper on the market. This burns like hell but it only stings for a couple of minutes. After that you will see a noticeable plumpness on the lips, it's amazing. The texture is not glossy at all, it's more like a balm than a gloss.

#13. YSL Tatouage Liquid Matte Lip Stain in Nude Interdit. This has such interesting formula. It's so pigmented and matte but moisturising and not heavy at all. It feels like you're wearing nothing on your lips.

#14. Becca x Khloe Palette. It's such a shame this was limited edition because this palette is so good. Hopefully Becca will come out with something similar again! It has everything  you need in one palette. The shades and formulas are so nice, give a beautiful glow that look so natural.

I also wanted to do a quick mention to last year's favourites. I still love all these and have been using a lot during 2019 as well. If you want to take a look to the full post you can take a look here or click on the picture below ;)
