THE FOUNDATION TAG
__

I've seeing this tag around and I thought it looked like fun and super interesting. I love trying new foundations, I'd say I have a pretty decent collection so I thought I should give this tag a try.
I hope you like it.

foundation tag, good and bad foundations, chanel foundations

Best packaging
Dior BB Creme. The perfect packaging in my opinion. I love the fact this has the pump applicator which makes it super comfortable to use and it's hygienic. I love this for when I want breathable, lightweight coverage. This feels light and gives a good glow to the skin. It stays on pretty well, doesn't fade throughout the day.

Travel friendly
Dior BB Creme or Chanel Vitalumiere have the best packaging for travelling. Small and compact.

foundation tag, good and bad foundations, estee lauder double wear

Worst packaging
Estee Lauder Double Wear. Fantastic full coverage foundation which doesn't look cakey and lasts all day. But I'm not a fan of the bulky glass bottle and doesn't have a pump so it's quite messy to use.

Highest coverage
Again, Estee Lauder Double Wear. High coverage but doesn't look cakey on the skin and last throughout the day. It covers absolutely everything and it has a quite matte finish.

foundation tag, good and bad foundations, l'oreal foundation

Best natural-looking
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua or Clinique CC Cream. They're moisturising and give a healthy glowy finish with a skin-like finish. The finish is rather dewy but natural, without looking greasy. It does not feel heavy on the skin and it lasts pretty well on the skin.

Regret buying
L'Oreal Nude CushionI had high hopes for this product but I was sadly disappointed. The product has a nice texture, looks natural and it has a more satin finish but I didn't love the result. The coverage is sheer and hardly covers minor imperfections. Another thing I find with this is that it doesn't sink into the skin well, it just sits on the surface and never seems to set.

foundation tag, good and bad foundations, dior foundations review

Favourite brand
I love Dior bases! Dior is one of my favourite makeup brands and their makeup bases have been a staple in my makeup bag for years. I love the Dior BB Creme, it feels light and gives a lovely glow. It looks super natural and has the right amount of coverage to cover redness and marks. It stays on pretty well, doesn't fade throughout the day; and Dior Forever is my holy grail foundation. It provides medium coverage, feels light but covers very well.

Most used foundation
My most used foundation has to be Dior Forever it has been my trusty foundation for years and I love it! It provides medium coverage, feels light but covers very well.  The result is flawless without looking cakey. It blends nicely and gives a natural glow to the skin. It gives a flawless barely there, super natural look. It contains SPF 25 which is an added plus.

foundation tag, good and bad foundations, l'oreal foundations

Least expensive foundation I own
L'Oreal Infallible 24h is my favourite drugstore foundation. It's high-coverage, lightweight, long lasting, doesn't cake and doesn't accentuate dry patches. It has a semi-matte finish and it gives a healthy glow to the skin. The formula is incredible lightweight while still providing great coverage. It's very comfortable to wear and stays great the whole day.

foundation tag, good and bad foundations, armani luminous silk review

Most expensive foundation I own
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation which is around 50 euro here. But it's worth the investment! It has become one of my favourite foundations of all time. It's super lightweight but still manages to provide amazing coverage. It's also super long lasting, lasts all day and it gives a glowy, natural finish.

Best foundation for photography
Armani Luminous Silk photographs beautifully that's why many brides use it on their wedding day. It doesn't contain SPF so it's perfect for flash photography.

US SEPHORA HAUL
__

This might be probably the most exciting makeup haul I've ever done! so exciting!
European sephoras are ok but the american ones are on a completely another level.
My lovely fiancé recently came back from the States, I couldn't go with him this time so he picked up some items for me while there [isn't he the sweetest thing? <3]

As soon as I saw the marble packaging I knew I had to have it. This is so aesthetically beautiful! It's every bloggers dream. It's truly a beauty.  I don't own any Hourglass product so I thought this was a great way to start. The selection of products in the palette is amazing and all shades give a beautiful glow and the bronzer is so subtle. It is a very pricey palette however I think was well worth the investment. This palette is such a delight and I'm so happy I bought it. The only con I found is that the highlighter is very gold for my skin tone.
TATCHA LUMINOUS DEWY MIST link |
That packaging...Gosh! I could't resist. Also everyone raves about this so I'm very excited to try it. It's a very expensive face mist, let's hope it's worth it.
BECCA ROSE QUARTZ SHIMMERING SKIN PERFECTOR
The last thing I need is another highlighter but man this was so hard to resist. Again, the packaging is so beautiful! And this colour is just perfection. It's a soft pink highlighter with warm undertones. The texture is so dreamy, soft and smooth. Becca can do no wrong when it comes to highlighters. Sadly this is limited edition and it seems to be sold out everywhere :(
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILL LIQUID LIPSTICK 'DUSTY ROSE' link |
Wow this is so comfortable on the lips, so lightweight, like wearing nothing. This is such a good liquid lipstick. It's so pigmented and matte and this shade is such a beautiful dusty rose colour. It reminds me to the Sephora lip stain in Marvelous Mauve which I love so much, they're really similar.
BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER WASH EYESHADOW 'ROSE GOLD' link |
I bought this because, I mean it's called rose gold and I'm obsessed with rose gold makeup. This is truly a rose gold colour, so beautiful and pigmented. It goes on easily and it gives a lovely wash of shimmer without being glittery.

NOVEMBER TOP FIVE
__
This month...I haven't been around much. Life is so busy right now and some new changes are coming.
I hope you all are doing well.
This month I've also been loving some new makeup items and a life-saver skin care product...

I love how extremely gentle this is on my skin; it cleans well without leaving my skin feeling tight or dry afterwards. It also helps my face looking clear and spot free. The texture is really lovely, it has a very thick gel-like texture and you only need the tiniest amount each time, a little goes a long way. A gentle and effective cleanser.
BENEFIT ROCKATEUR BLUSH  link
I didn't get this when it first came out somehow it didn't catch my attention, I  always thought it would be too pink but honestly it looks so natural. It gives a natural warm pink flush and a lovely warm and healthy glow. I have been wearing it nearly daily since I purchased it. It adds such a natural glow and subtle sheen to the look. Also, it smells so nice!
BENEFIT GIMME BROW link
Another Benefit product I've been loving lately. Quick and simple to use. It gives my eyebrows a bit of volume and lasts all day long. The shade medium is perfect, it isn't so dark and the tiny wand is a great size to apply the gel onto the brows. So far I love it!
DIOR LIP MAXIMIZER link
I can't believe I haven't tried this sooner! This is a lip plumper/lip gloss. Don't expect a miracle though but a subtle bit of fullness. It tingles and has a minty scent but it really plumps your lips and makes my lips feel smooth and fuller. Expensive but it works.
MORPHE R36 BRUSH link
I've picked up a few brushes from the Morphe rose gold collection and fell in love with this brush in particular, it's great for applying highlighter. It's soft, precise and the tapered shape makes it perfect for highlighter. I think is a versatile little brush.

My Concealer Collection | Favourites and disappointing

best and worst concealers, drugstore, pale concealers

MY CONCEALER COLLECTION
__

I struggle with  dark circles, redness and uneven skin tone, so  finding the perfect concealer is almost impossible. I have multiple options, different textures, and shades to cover up any imperfection. Drugstore, high-end, top favourites and disappointing,..
Here's my concealer stash:

best and worst concealers, drugstore, pale concealers

best and worst concealers, drugstore, pale concealers Benefit Erase Paste | This is a life saver! It's my favourite for covering really dark circles. It goes on so creamy, lasts throughout the day and it covers up dark circles so well. It's very thick, so you need just a small amount, or can look cakey.  Definitely recommend if you have extremely dark circles.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer  |  I'm quite disappointed with this concealer. It's very creamy but it looks awful on me! It doesn't provide enough coverage, it cakes, it looks powdery and chalky. It didn't work for me , such a shame! The only good thing it's really pale so is perfect to brighten my under area. If you're looking for a super pale concealer, the shade Fair Neutral is really really light.

Kiko Full Coverage Concealer It covers blemishes and marks well. I don't really like it for the under eye area, I don't find it hydrating enough for that area and I'm not convinced with the finish. But I love it for the rest of the face and I love the packaging, so tiny and great to carry with you. It does come with a mirror so it's quite a handy product to have in your bag for touch ups during the day. It's one of the only ones that actually fit my skin tone.

best and worst concealers, drugstore, pale concealersMaybelline Fit Me Concealer I mentioned this a million times before and you must be sick of me talking about it but seriously it is the BEST concealer! It has a pretty good coverage and works perfectly for dark circles and blemishes. The consistency is very creamy, it blends well and left my under eyes super soft and moisturised. This effortlessly covers dark circles, lifts and brightens the eye area. You must try it, it's also very affordable!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Pen Other product that has been featured multiple times on the blog. It has a light coverage but it works perfectly as an instant under eye brightener. The formula is really nice, smooth and easy to blend. It's great for under eye, and also for highlighting areas of the face like cheekbones and brow bone for an instant face lift.

Collection Lasting Perfection concealer | This provides high coverage. It covers blemishes well and last all day. The formula of this concealer is thick and pigmented but blendable. It also works as an amazing highlighter when you choose a shade slightly lighter. The palest shade is great for the lightest complexions.

best and worst concealers, drugstore, pale concealersRimmel Wake Up Conceale | I had heard a lot about this concealer and when I finally got my hands on it I was not impressed. It didn't cover a single thing, provides only slight coverage. It doesn't cover my dark circles and didn't brighten, definitely didn't give that "anti-fatigue affect" it claims to have.

Bourjois Readiance Reveal Concealer  It has a nice consistency, it's creamy and pigmented.  It goes smooth and brightens under eye  The shade 'light' is perfect if you have pale skin. But I wasn't that impressed I have to say, it didn't cover my dark circles well. I don't think I will repurchase this one.

Ysl Touche Eclat  |  It is very light coverage but I love the way this lightens underneath my eyes. It's such aluxery produc but I find there are cheaper products in the market that will do the same. You could get the same thing at the drugstore for a quarter of the price.

Rimmel Match Perfection 2in1 Concealer This stuff is amazing! I love the soft brush application. It's creamy and thick enough to cover the dark circles. It does a brilliant job concealing and brightening the under eye area.  It's my go-to for the under-eye area.

This month I've been loving...

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer link |
I love the Brow Wiz so much that I needed to try this pencil as well! At first I thought it wasn't as precise as the Brow Wizz but now I think I like this one more. It's precise and super quick to use. It's great for when you are in a hurry, you can fill in the brow much quicker with this and makes the process so much easier.

Kiko Blush Cocoa Shock Palette link |
Kiko recently released this new line of four beautiful blush duos which come in the cutest packaging in form of chocolate bars. The shade 02 Silky Rose and Mauve instantly caught my attention, I thought it would be perfect for Autumn. This duo comes with a light mauve pink and a deeper mauve colour. They are pigmented, soft, velvety and blendable.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder link |
I only used this powder a few times but I really like it. It feels nice on the skin, lightweight and brightens the skin. Great setting powder for the whole face and perfect for baking those under eyes, it really does brighten up my tired eyes.
Kiko Colour Kajal #115 Butter link |
This is a lovely and inexpensive nude eye pencil! It's creamy, soft and it's perfect for the lower waterline.
Guerlain La Petite Robe 'Beige Lingerie' Lipstick link |
My new love! I love sheer, subtle lipsticks and this is right up my street. It feels like a balm and has a beautiful sheen to it. It's hydrating and so comfortable to wear. It feels very smooth and silky, giving a lovely shine to the lips. Beige Lingerie is just the perfect shade, it's a beautiful soft pink-nude colour. If you like sheer lipsticks in general, you'll love these!
