Are you going away this summer?
When it comes to beauty packing, less is more for me. I always try to simplify. But without leaving any essentials behind. This is what I'm taking with me.
One Base Product
travel makeup essentials, beauty packing
Most of the time I like to carry a natural, lightweight base like a BB/CC Cream with SPF in it. This time I'm bringing the Chanel CC Cream.
Compact powder
My trusty Chanel Les Beiges that goes always with me.
One Eyebrow product
I like to carry the Anastasia Brow Wiz. It's precise and works perfectly.
Two concealers
One for the under-eye area, Urban Decay Naked, and one for blemishes, Kiko Full Coverage concealer.
Two Eyeshadows
Nars 'Goddess' Velvet Shadow StickIt's a pinky-peach champagne colour. It's quick and easy to apply and stays in place all day.
Urban Decay 'Riff' single eyeshadow.
One eye pencil
MAC 'Teddy' Eye Khol my go-to eyeliner, a lovely bronzy brown with a subtle metallic sheen.
One Bronzer
Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder. I love it because it looks natural, it gives a lovely warmth and glow to the skin without looking too glittery.
One Highlighter
I'm obsessed with Nars 'Orgasm' Illuminator. The perfect summer highlighter! It's a gorgeous shimmery peachy-pink highlighter, it's not too shimmery and it gives a perfect dewy, natural healthy glow. I'll be using it as a blush as well!
One Mascara
I chose one of my favourite mascaras of all time, Benefit They're Real
One Lip product
Chanel 'Boy' lipstick is everything I need! It's easy to wear, it goes with any makeup look and is so moisturising. It's a lovely pinky nude colour with some flecks of golden micro-glitter.

Beauty Essentials | Get A Summer Glow

Thursday, 21 July 2016
get summer glow products, summer highlighter, natural fake tan, pale skin

SUMMER GLOW

Summer skin is all about that sun-kissed glow, bronzed goddess look. I do love that sun-kissed skin in summer, but I don't naturally tan or sunbathe so I rely on products to fake that glow, it's way more healthier!

I've rounded up my favourite products that will help you to get that pretty bronzed look.
Here's my essentials for a  natural healthy-looking glow.
DOVE SUMMER GLOW NOURISHING LOTION
get summer glow products, summer highlighter, natural fake tan, pale skinI don't usually fake-tan but gradual tanners are my personal preference, the result is much more natural. I really like this body lotion, it's super easy to apply and it creates a really natural sun kissed look. It smells nice and makes the skin feel moisturized. It is great for fair skin girls and also for self-tanner beginners.
SALLY HANSEN SALON AIRBRUSH LEGS
I love this for special occasions. This is makeup for your legs! but it's easy to apply and looks natural and gives a natural even tan.You have to shake it up really well. You can spray it directly on your legs but it's much better if you put the product first on your hands and they apply it. Make sure you blend the product really well!
NUXE HUILE PRODIGIEUSE OR
It’s a summer classic but this multi-purpose oil is so great! It’s very lightweight and non-greasy which makes it great for using during summer. It moisturises very well and gives a subtle but gorgeous glow to the skin. Juts rub it into the arms and legs to get that summer glow. Try to add a few drops to moisturiser when not wearing foundation, it will give you a lovely glow to the skin.
DOVE DERMA SPA GOODNESS BODY OIL
The product itself is a golden colour but disappears when the body oil is rubbed into the skin. It gives such a lovely luminous glow. The oil feel luxurious and velvety on the skin. It smells divine, leaves skin silky smooth and lasts for ages. It makes your skin very soft and has a subtle sheen to it. It's a lovely product, the only downside is that the oil stays on the surface for some time and doesn't absorb quickly, leaves my skin feeling a bit greasy after applying. It's great for dry skin!
GIVENCHY HEALTHY GLOW POWDER
I love this bronzer for summer because it looks natural, it gives a lovely warmth and glow to the skin without looking too glittery. I sweep it all over the face with a big fluffy brush for that sun kissed effect.
NARS 'ORGASM' ILLUMINATOR
I'm addicted to it and I think is the perfect summer highlighter! The Nars Orgasm Illuminator is a gorgeous shimmery peachy-pink highlighter, it's not too shimmery and doesn't add much colour; it's quite sheer but it gives a perfect dewy, natural healthy glow. It works beautifully as a blush too.
H&M SKIN ILLUMINISER 'CHAMPAGNE GOLD'
Another beautiful highlighter and perfect for that summer goddess glow. It's absolutely gorgeous! Champagne Gold is the most perfect champagne colour. It's extremely pigmented but blends out like a dream and you can use it on your body as well.

INSIDE MY MUJI DRAWERS
_____

These clear drawers have become so popular in the beauty community. Beauty bloggers love storing their makeup in Muji acrylic drawers. It's a cult makeup storage favourite. The thing is, these are so aesthetically pleasing when filled with your favourite items. I love how I can see everything so I can actually use and rotate my products. I don't know why but something about seeing them makes me so happy.
The drawers are so nice and handy, good quality and great to storage, organize and display your makeup
I only have the acrylic two-drawer set  where I store my everyday makeup for easy reach and some special items.or products I want to get more use out of.

Drugstore Foundations | Summer Lightweight Bases

Thursday, 14 July 2016
best and worst, summer foundation, drugstore

_______
DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS

I personally find it difficult to find a really great drugstore foundation. What I look for on a foundation is something that is good for combination skin, also something lightweight, and that matches me. I haven't found my perfect one yet but these four are good budget options from the drugstore and are also great to wear in summer.

RIMMEL WAKE ME UP // I was obsessed with this when it came out and I used to use this foundation all the time. It's got a great gel consistency and has medium coverage but doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It blends well, feels quite refreshing and makes you look fresh and dewy. It has a subtle shimmer but it is unnoticeable. The only downside is that the palest shade is still quite orange on those with a very pale complexion.
BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX // The coverage is light to medium but I find this covers pretty well and it also lasts perfectly throughout the day. It's a very natural-looking foundation that also feels fresh on the skin and gives a lovely radiant finish. It's very blendable and light and is perfect to anyone who is starting with makeup.
L'OREAL INFALLIBLE 24H MATTE // I love this one! My favourite drugstore foundation at the moment. It's the high-coverage foundation of the bunch but it's lightweight, long lasting, doesn't cake and doesn't accentuate dry patches. It has a semi-matte finish and it gives a healthy glow to the skin. The formula is incredible lightweight while still providing great coverage. It's very comfortable to wear and stays great the whole day. It's an amazing foundation for summer, heat and humidity. It's sweat-proof and it won't melt off your face. Perfect if you live in a hot and humid area.
L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE CUSHION // I had high hopes for this product but I was sadly disappointed. The product has a nice texture, looks natural with a skin-like finish.  It looks natural, it has a more satin finish but I didn't love the result. The coverage is sheer and hardly covers minor imperfections. Another thing I find with this is that it doesn't sink into the skin well, it just sits on the surface and never seems to set. My skin didn't look right after a few hours and I had dry patches and even looked cakey. The colour selection isn't very good either, there aren't many shades available and the lightest shade looks orange on the skin. It's not my favourite, it didn't work for me but many people seem to love it.

The Best of High-end Brands Tag | Favourite Luxury Makeup

favorite highend makeup, best of highend makeup

____

HIGH-END MAKEUP FAVES
I love high-end makeup and I love a good tag!
In this post I'm sharing some my all-time favourite high end products. I truly love these brands and all these products. They're all lovely makeup products worth spending your money on.

1DIORSKIN NUDE BB CRÈME /
DIOR FOREVER FOUNDATION
favorite highend makeup, best of highend makeupI loved everything I tried from Dior. The nail polishes, the lip products, the foundations... Oh, I love Dior bases! The're fantastic! These two are my favourites, the Dior BB Creme feels light and gives a lovely glow. It looks super natural and has the right amount of coverage to cover redness and marks. It stays on pretty well, doesn't fade throughout the day. I love the packaging, is super travel-friendly and it contains SPF 10. Dior Forever is my holy grail foundation. It provides medium coverage, feels light but covers very well. The result is flawless without looking cakey. It blends nicely and gives a natural glow to the skin.
2| DIOR VERNIS
The nail polishes are some of the best I’ve tried. Great coverage, dry quickly and don’t chip as soon as others. I’ve got the shades, Muguet, Lucky and Rouge. I want them all!
3| URBAN DECAY NAKED EYESHADOW PALETTE
Urban Decay is a great place to start if you're looking to invest in your first high-end eyeshadow palette. I've got the naked 1 and 3 and love them both. The shadows work perfectly for creating everyday looks, simple day look or more dramatic. They’re so versatile, you can make so many different looks with it.  The quality of the shadows is fantastic, pigmented and blendable. Worth the investment.
4| TOM FORD LIPSTICKS
These are really pricey but very much worth it! They look and feel like anything else I’ve tried before. The packaging is luxurious and beautiful. I have the Lip Color Shine 'Nubile' which is a beautiful rosy-brown colour. The colour is lovely and lasts well. The lipstick feels so nice on the lips, it's so creamy with a little shine. Very high quality as reflected in the price!
5| CHANEL ROUGE COCO SHINE 'BOY' LIPSTICK
I'm a lipstick hoarder so I had to add more than one!
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine ‘Boy’ is the lipstick everyone should own. It's a sheer pinky nude colour with some flecks of golden micro-glitter. It’s flattering on everyone, it's easy to wear, and it goes with any makeup look. Plus the formula is so moisturising, it feels hydrating and amazing on the lips.
6| NARS 'ORGASM' ILLUMINATOR
favorite highend makeup, best of highend makeupNars is another of my favourite brands! I have loved Nars products for years. The Nars Orgasm Illuminator is everything! It's a gorgeous shimmery peachy-pink highlighter, it's not too shimmery and doesn't add much colour; it's quite sheer but it gives a perfect dewy, natural healthy glow. It works beautifully as a blush too.
7| NARS BLUSHES
Amazing colours and quality. My favourite shades, Orgasm and Douceur.  Orgasm is a  peachy pink with golden shimmer blush. It's universally flattering, looks great on everyone, it  gives the cheeks a gorgeous and healthy soft pink glow. Douceur is a soft pink-brown, so beautiful and easy to wear.
8| ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BROW WIZ
By far the best brow product I have ever used. It goes on so effortlessly and looks so natural. The product allows me to build up the look and shape of my brows without looking unnatural. Also there is a large range of shades available!
9| BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL MASCARA
This is seriously amazing. It's waterproof, voluminizing, it curls and lengthens my lashes nicely and stays on all the day. This has quickly become my favourite mascara ever.
10| LAURA MERCIER CAVIAR STICKS
I couldn't recommend them highly enough! They are so creamy and and stay in place all day. I have the shade 'Copper', a gorgeous warm gold-brown colour.
