Here are my favourite makeup products at the moment. They're also my typical go-to products for my everyday makeup at the moment. In the morning I reach for those products that will give me a light and glowing face and that will make me look awake. These are a some of my makeup essentials that I use most days for a fresh-faced, minimal and  natural look.

A lightweight and natural-looking foundation is everything I'm using at the moment. The Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation is an absolutely favourite right now. It's sheer coverage but has enough coverage to even out the skin. It also has such a beautiful finish, so glowy!

Another Charlotte Tilbury amazing product is the creamy shadow Eyes to Mesmerise in Jean. Perfect champagne cream shadow. It's so pigmented and gives a beautiful effect and glow to the eyes.

Becca Under Eye Corrector has been my favourite product for covering my really dark circles. It goes on so creamy,  effortlessly covers dark circles, lifts and brightens the eye area. It's quite thick, so you need just a small amount, or can look cakey. Definitely recommended if you have extremely dark circles. Nars Radiant Creamy concealer is the other concealer I'm using at the moment. I like it especially on days where I have little time to do my makeup. It's a good all rounder concealer, it has a pretty good coverage and works perfectly for dark circles and blemishes.

I'm so in love with the Becca Sunlit Bronzer in the shade Bali Sands, because it's the perfect shade for fair skin and so natural looking too. It's not completely matte but it gives a lovely warmth and glow to the skin without looking too glittery, leaves a super healthy looking light glow. I follow this by applying the Nars Riviera Multiple. It gives a beautiful flush of pink to my cheeks.

Nars Hot Sand (the powder version) might be the perfect highlighter! I'm seriously obsessed with it! Iit was my wedding day highlighter. It really is THE glow-from-within highlighter. It gives such a beautiful glow but looks natural and effortless. So highly recommended.

Lastly, another product I'm obsessed with and that I used the day of my wedding. The Guerlain Long-Lasting Lip liner in the shade Bois des Santal, is the perfect match for my lips, it's not too brown and not too pink. It works perfectly with all my lipsticks. I'm so in love with it! I combine the lip liner with the Nars Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. I use this combination almost every day! The colour is a beautiful mauve pink which is quite subtle for daily use but definitely more interesting than a regular neutral colour.

Things I love about Singapore | OOTD at the Chinese Gardens

After almost 8 months living here I can tell you some of the things I adore about this amazing city...

All the variety and diversity. It's an incredible international, multicultural and multilingual city. It is such an international community and culturally vibrant, I feel like they live as one big family and I love that so much.

Public transport. It's one of the best in the world. It's efficient, super clean and reasonably priced. I find the MRT (Metro system) easy to use, well priced and so clean and tidy.

Water. Clean drinking water from the tap.

Shopping. Lots of shopping mall everywhere! I love Orchard Road so much, it's my favourite place for retail therapy. Plus, most shops don't close until late, even till 11pm.

Extremely efficient. Everything seems to work perfectly. Singapore is very well organized and focused on convenience.

Super clean and green. Without a doubt, the cleanest and greenest city in the world, well at least that I have ever seen.

Singapore definitely lives up to its name as a Garden city with lots of parks over the island. I love this fact about Singapore, how green it is, it's amazing! The Chinese Garden might be one of favourite places in the city. I love this place so much, it may not be one of the top attractions in Singapore but is absolutely beautiful. There's something magical about it. I love the calmness and how peaceful is. Perfect for a picnic, for some 'me time' or to get away from the busy city and relax. The garden is so big, with different parts, the pagodas, the bridge, Japanese garden, bonsai garden...A true hidden gem in Singapore. It worth the MRT ride.

I'm definitely overdressed here for Singapore weather but the thing is, inside shopping centers is freezing cold! I always need an indoor jacket for my shopping trips or just for drinking coffee at Starbucks. Plus I wanted to update my autumn wardrobe and checked blazers are the number one trend this Fall. I've been eyeing this Zara blazer for weeks and finally got it recently because it's the perfect checked blazer. I could't resist! It's actually quite lightweight so it'a perfect to carry in my bag and use it as my "indoor jacket" in Singapore.

I've been obsessed with these two Fenty Beauty things since I got them a few weeks ago.  Fenty Beauty might be the hottest new makeup range right now, so I definitely needed to check it out at Sephora. I have to say I wasn't so impressed at first, like I thought I would be. But in the end I ended up getting and loving these two items from the range, and here's why...

The Lip gloss lip luminizer I really like! It looks like nothing exciting in the tube but it's actually so good. I like the texture it's super creamy and moisturising. It gives you the right amount of shine leaving such beautiful neutral glow to the lips. It also has a lovely sweet scent that makes it just irresistible. I honestly was a little skeptical at first because the colour in the tube looked a little darker than I normally would like on my lips, but it actually matches perfectly, it gives a great finishing look and it pairs with any makeup look. That's the amazing thing about this lip gloss, looks great on every complexion. Such a great idea.

I also got the Match Stix Shimmer Stick in Starstruck and love the colour of the it. It's a very pretty champagne shade highlighter. The stick isn't very creamy, it does go pretty dry on the skin, it's more like cream to powder formula. It's also quite glittery but as you can see I'm wearing it in daylight and I absolutely love it, the glow this gives is unreal, so glowy! Well, most of the time I want to make sure my cheekbones glow so much they can be seen in space.  Shine bright like a diamond.

Hair Care In Humid Climate | Hair tips to tackle humidity

hair care in humid singapore, tips to tackle humidity

Humidity can be a nightmare when it comes to hair. You have got your look exactly as you want them, every strand in place, but the minute you step outside humidity gets involved and the dreaded frizz has arrived. This can be extremely frustrating and hard to control, but as with all hair care problems there is always at least something you can do. To help you get on top of this annoying little environmental hair hazard here are our top tips.

Use a cute hairstyle to hold your locks in place
While humidity can strike at any time, some looks are better at holding their shape in the face of this challenge than others. If you have your hair down it is easier for water molecules in the air to get in and around each strand, leading to real frizz. Instead, on days when you think humidity is likely to be an issue try using a cute hairstyle to keep your locks in place. A French or Dutch braid, and other styles that are designed to hold the hair firmly, can be very useful here (for a Dutch braid tutorial click here). Try these styles out the next time humidity strikes.

Condition your hair regularly
Another factor that can exacerbate frizz in the hair when humidity strikes is dryness. Dry hair is much more likely to be affected by humid weather than well moisturised hair because fluid-zapped hair will be attracted to moisture in the environment. To prevent this happening remember to condition hair every day. If your hair is naturally quite dry try using a deep conditioning treatment or hair mask at least every week, more if necessary. After a few weeks of doing this your hair will be much stronger in the face of humidity and able to keep its natural shine.

Use a de-frizzing towel
You might not think that a towel has much to do with how your hair responds to the humidity, but it’s one of those surprising factors that can have a big impact. Normal towels, especially old ragged ones, tend to create natural frizz in the hair when being dried. These out of place strands then attract the natural moisture in the air on humid days leading to disastrous results. To avoid this try investing in a special de-frizzing towel. Use it for a few weeks and see what difference it can make.

Serums and other products
If humidity is affecting you often it might also be worth thinking about some good hair products. There are many on the market these days that are specifically designed to protect hair during periods of humidity. Try out a few different ones to see which would work for your type of hair. If in doubt speak to friends to see if anyone has useful product recommendations.

Those are four key tips on dealing with humidity. It can be really annoying and ruin your look, but there’s always something you can try. Use a cute style or a handy product and avoid that frizzy look once and for all.

Alright, this how my latest Sephora shopping looks like.
I bought quite a few things. But you all know how Sephora works, you go into the store with a budget in mind, thinking on stoking up a few make up products and you leave the store with five items more. Plus, Singapore Sephora's are much more cooler than Sephora's in Italy, much bigger and with much more variaty, and that aisle of minis on your way to the counter...Oh my! I've already tried out most of these products so I can tell you a bit more about them.

The main reason why I went to Sephora was to check out Rihanna's Fenty Beauty collection. One of the hottest new makeup range tight now. I have to say I wasn't so impressed with the collection like I thought I would be. But I ended up buying the Match Stix Shimmer Stick in Starstruck and the Lip Gloss Universal Lip Luminizer. I love the colour of the highlighter, it's a very pretty champagne shade. Unfortunately is quite glittery and not very creamy, it does go pretty dry on the skin, but the glow this gives is unreal, so glowy! I really like the lip gloss from the collection. It looks like nothing exciting in the tube but it's actually a very good product. It's super creamy and moisturising and gives such beautiful neutral glow to the lips.  It also has a lovely sweet scent that makes it just irresistible.

Another exciting item I couldn't wait to get my hands on was the new Urban Decay palette, Naked Heat. I'm sure you all have seen this everywhere! But the truth is, the palette is absolutely gorgeous! It truly is a beauty! Twelve beautiful warm toned eyeshadows, matte and shimmery mixture, perfect for everyday and night looks. If you like warm eyeshadows like me, this is warm perfection!

Of course there's a lipstick in this haul. I got the Nars Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil and quickly became one of my favourite lipsticks. I use this almost every day! The colour is a beautiful mauve pink which is quite subtle for daily use but definitely more interesting than a regular neutral colour.

From the minis aisle...I repurchased my beloved Caudalie Beauty Elixir in this special limited edition packaging which looks so beautiful with the golden lid; I love keeping this in my handbag to refresh my makeup during the day, especially now I'm living in such humid climate.
I couldn't resist the mini Benefit blushes, so incredible cute! I've always wanted to try the Dandelion and their newest blush Galifornia. Oh and I also picked up the mini It Cosmetics CC Cream, which everyone raves about! I've been using it for a month or so and I have to say it's good! Amazing coverage for a CC cream and last for long.

So far I'm very happy with everything I got.
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think :)
