The easiest way to contour | Burberry Contour Pencil

I love a bit of contouring to give myself some imaginary bone structure to my face. I wanted to try something quick and easy to use and this is such a natural contour pen which creates definition in seconds. It's available in two shades, I bought the shade Medium which looks quite scary in the tube but it's very natural when applied even in the daytime.

First off, I love the packaging, it's a thin stick, quick to use and compact enough to throw in my purse. Great!

The product itself is so soft, creamy and so easy to use. It glides on so smoothly and blends so well. I usually swipe it on on the hollow of the cheeks, sides of the nose and under the jawline and blend out with my finger. It seriously blends out so effortlessly and seamlessly to a silky, matte finish. Even the colour seems to disappear, but it's also buildable. You can use this on your eyes to add a nice definition as well. The colour is perfect for contouring, even on pale skin, not too warm, not too ashy.

If you're into contouring your nose, this is great. I loved this for contouring the nose. It's so easy to blend that you won't get that stripe look. It's something quick and easy to add a bit of contouring. And the result is super subtle, is not obvious and dark.  It lasts pretty well on the skin but if you have very oily skin you will need to set it with powder, this will fade throughout the day.

In the first photo you can see also the Burberry Light Glow Blush in the shade ‘Earthy’ which is my all-time favourite contour product. Earthy is less warm that the contour pen, it’s a little more ashy and a great contour colour for pale skin tone girls. I do like both products but the Burberry Stick is a more precise and a quick way to do the job.

One of the best products I have tried for contouring. If you like a natural type of contour this is fantastic!

Spring-Summer Look | Everyday makeup

Sunday, 22 May 2016

This is my favourite look at the moment and what I've been wearing a lot lately. Most of my makeup stay the same all year around but I do slightly mix things up a little and incorporate some colour with coral blushes and peachy-pink lip products.
This is how I like to do my makeup,  a fresh and natural look with glowy skin and a pop of colour on the cheeks.

Mac Strobe Cream / I use it under my foundation and it gives the most gorgeous dewy glow, it definitely brightens up dull skin beautifully. It also provides hydration and it lasts all day long.
Dior Forever Foundation (010 Ivory) / I apply a thin layer and it's enough. It provides medium coverage, feels light but covers very well. It blends and sets nicely and gives a natural glow to the skin.
Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer / It has a nice consistency, it's creamy, pigmented and covers dark circles perfectly. It goes smooth and brightens under eye  The shade 'light' is perfect if you have pale skin.
Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder (shade3) / It gives a natural warmth and a lovely glow to the skin without looking too glittery.
Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm ' Robust Rhubarb' /  A flush of colour on the cheeks with this creamy blush. It applies and blends easily with fingers. The shade Robust Rhubarb is a very pretty coral colour.
Becca After Glow Palette / The quality of this little palette is amazing, it's pigmented and the glow and shimmer in these are stunning.  For my highlighter I used the colour Moostone and I used the shade 'Rose Gold' as eyeshadow and 'Wild Honey' in the crease.
Maybelline Master Shape Brow  (Soft Brown) /  It gives such a natural look and the waxy texture makes the application super easy and the result is super natural.  The spoolie end comes in very handy.
Nars 'Goddess' Velvet Shadow Stick /  It's a pinky-peach chamagne colour. It's creamy. pigmented, it goes on smoothly  and stays on well.
Benefit They're Real Mascara /  It curls and lengthens my lashes nicely and stays on all the day.
Mac 'Kinda Sexy' lipstick /  It's a natural and wearable piky-nude with a peachy undertone.
Lancome 'Freedom of Peach' Juicy Shaker / Last, a bit of this lip oil. It's very moisturising and lovely to wear and this shade gives a beautiful subtle peachy-pink colour to the lips.

Slightly disappointing | Makeup items

disappointing products, disappointing makeup products
disappointing products, disappointing makeup products

These five products have slightly disappointed me, they just didn't impress me or didn't met my expectations

L'Oreal Magique Cushion Foundation // A product everyone is talking about but didn't impressed. The coverage of this is sheer and hardly covers minor imperfections. I wanted something with a dewy finish but this didn't give me that dewy finish I wanted. It looks natural but I didn't love the result. Something about the finish is just not flattering. Another thing I found with this is that it doesn't sink into the skin well, it just sits on the surface and never seems to set. My skin didn't look right after a few hours and I had dry patches and even looked cakey. The colour selection isn't very good either, there aren't many shades available and the lightest shade looks orange on the skin.
Chanel CC Cream // Like not, not love it. I heard a lot of beauty bloggers talking about this and I was so excited to try it. This adress skin tone and helps to correct redness, uneven skin and pigmentation. It also contains a very high SPF to protect your skin from sun damage which makes it perfect for summer.  It provides a good coverage and a nice, glowy finish to the skin. It really sounds like an amazing product and I so wanted to love this! My main problem with this is that it has a very yellow undertone, and does not work well with my skin tone. Also I find it never sits on my skin right and makes me feel a bit oily. It's a shame this didn't work out as it's such a pricey product!
L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper // I do like the small brush but doesn't fill my browns and the shade is definitely too dark for me. The product holds my brows in place but it feels sticky, and like stiff. The result was very obvious and not natural. Did not work for me.
Tanya Burr Hollywood Eye Palette // I love TB's lip glosses and the cheek palette but this eye palette isn't the best. The colours in the palette are gorgeous and exactly the sort of shades I wear. But I'm slightly disappointed with the pigmentation and the quality of the shadows. They're quite powdery and does have fall outs. I find they're quite difficult to work on the lids.
Chanel Le Crayon Khol  #69 Clair // This has been my biggest disappointment! The pencil is not good at all. The colour is lovely, a peachy nude colour, perfect for the waterline and to get this instant brightness on the face. But it's so hard to apply! It does not go on smoothly as other Khol pencils. The pencil itself is very light and hardly pigmented at all. I gave up using it as it hurt my eyes. The Rimmel Scandal Eyes Khol in nude is very similar to this one and it' much better.

These products weren't for me, but everyone has different taste, so these might work for you ;)

products I'm currently loving, five products to try

I wanted to share some products I'm currently loving, these five products I've been enjoying lately.
What are you loving at the moment?

Shake, shake, shake...My new favourite lip gloss! I'm totally addicted to it! The design is so cute and is such a lovely lip product to keep in your handbag. The applicator is so spongy and it feels different to any other product I've tried. It goes on like a dream, smells amazing and leave my lips with no stickiness at all. And such a great selection of colours, I want one in every colour! It's hydrating and has the perfect shine. This shade, Freedom of Peach, gives a beautiful subtle peachy-pink colour to the lips.
'Coco Mademoiselle' is one of  favourite perfumes and this is something I wanted to try for long time, the body spray, a lovely fresh mist with moisturising properties.  The scent is light and fresh and leaves the skin delightfully scented and soft.
I really like this concealer for covering blemishes and marks. The coverage is great and is easy to apply.  I don't really like it for under the eyes though. I love the packaging, so tiny and great to carry with you. It does come with a mirror so it's quite a handy product to have in your bag for touch ups during the day.
I have to say I'm impressed! This stuff makes your skin glow.  I'm really enjoying using this product. It's so versatile, I use it under my foundation and it gives the most gorgeous dewy glow yet it does not make the face look like a disco ball. It also provides hydration and it lasts all day long.  I've been using this for the daytime and it definitely brightens up dull and tired skin beautifully.
Love this shadow stick.  I love how quick it is to apply. It takes about 10 seconds to do my eyeshadow wit this. It's creamy. pigmented, it goes on smoothly  and stays on well.  It's a pinky-peach chamagne colour, exactly the kind of colour I love wearing on a day to day basis.

This time last year | Old faves I still love

shopping my stash, all time favorite makeup products

I love pulling out old favourites and re-discover them. I used to use these all the time and they were my beauty favourites last year. Some I haven't used in ages but I still love them and I don't think I will ever get bored of so they need to be mentioned again!

Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder Dream Filter 20
This palette comes in a split pan with a bronzer and a highlighter and the shades work together perfectly, giving a perfect contour effect but yet natural.  This colour, Dream Filter 20, is a soft pink/medium brown. I chose this one because of the neutral look of it and I thought it would go better with my pink/neutral undertone fair skin.
The powder is so incredible silky, creamy and so easy to blend. The highlighter is matte which makes it perfect for under the eye; for setting your concealer and brighten up the area. The packaging is really big but I actually love the design, it's really thin and light so it would be perfect for traveling.
By Terry Ombre BlackStar in Frozen Quartz
If you like pink eyeshadows you'll love this one! This shade is an incredibly beautiful pearly pink almost like a rose gold colour. The stick is quite shimmery but doesn't have any large glittery particles. It's super creamy, it applies easily, smoothly and effortless. It's super long lasting as well.
Mac 'Soba' eyeshadow
Ohh Mac Soba! It's the perfect natural shade, a kind of my lids but better colour. It's a warm golden brown with tiny gold shimmer particles. It doesn't look like anything special in the pan but it's actually so pretty on. A must have for brown eyeshadow lovers!

Dior Lip Glow
I used to feature this all the time on the blog! I wear lip balm most of the time and this one is my all time favourite. This is one of those lip balms that adjusts to your unique Ph to create a customized pink shade and enhance you natural lip colourIt's very moisturizing and it also contains SPF10. I love the colour it gives to my lips, a beautiful and natural pink colour.
Mac 'Hush' Cream Color Base
I used to be obsessed with this product!. It's seriously a beautiful highlighter. The colour is a peachy-rose gold-champagne shade that makes you look like a goddess! The texture is creamy but not sticky and the finish is dewy without any shimmer or sparkle.
Rimmel Exaggerate 'Eastend Snob' Lip Liner
I'm still loving this nude-pink lip liner. It's the perfect shade for everyday. It's completely matte, creamy and so easy to apply.  It goes on smoothly and the shape of the applicator makes the application really easy.
Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil
I cannot recommend this enough. One of the best drugstore finds. It gives such a natural look and the waxy texture makes the application super easy and the result is super natural.  The spoolie end comes in very handy. The only downside is it needs to be sharpened often.
